Here we go..... McGrath - no need for explanation Spink - Kept us in the game to win the European Cup and a long great servant of the club Platt - one of the best players to ever grace the shirt, helped us to 2nd place and earned us massive transfer fees (at the time) Grealish - Helped us gain promotion, kept us up in our first season and earned us £100m in transfer fees to build the current team Withe - helped us win our last title and scored the winner in the European Cup final Barry - Was influential for us for so long and earned us transfer fees Hendrie - controversial I know but was homegrown, cost us nothing and was a great servant to the club across many seasons Ashley Young - Helped us to 3 top 6 finishes and came back for a 2nd stint and was a valuable utility player Mellberg - solid and was a great servant to the club across many seasons Tony Daley - for personal reasons, the reason I loved going to Villa Park when I was younger

Do you mean if we’d won, would I give credit to Gerrard for the way we were set up? Yes. I thought the front three he picked worked. Still think he’s made too many poor decisions over the last year though
-
I’d like to see Sanson
-
Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of Gerrard. However, this defeat is not on him. It’s a lack of composure that has prevented us from scoring and two individual areas that have cost us the goals.

After watching City V United, this isn’t a great game for the neutral

Please someone post that old giff of Bowery spinning in his chair
-
Come on Dean this formation. Is shit.

Anyone else’s signal breaking up? I’m on Virgin Media
-
I was wondering the same thing.

It’s ok lads. Ross is coming on
-
I think it is actually

It’s like watching Brazil

Fair play to Davis. I’ve never rated him but he’s made a massive difference to this game nicking the ball off that defender and creating Trev’s second goal
-
It just goes to show how low Smith rates Barkley. In a game where there is zero creativity he still doesn’t want to bring him on
-
All good apart from the comment about McGinn. If we are satisfied with a midfielder’s performance because he puts himself about but doesn’t do anything with the ball, we might as well invite Thor back into a midfield. Surely we can expect more from our midfielders than that
-
It’s either that or make the dinner and I’m hoping the wife gets up before I do

On a more positive note, we know Ramsey and Samsung can affect a game when they come on.
-
Don’t get me wrong I love Dean Smith and believe he is the right manager for us. However, I really wish he would make subs earlier in the game to give us a chance. We had Leicester on the ropes there at the end, a team now in second place in the Premier League. We left it far too late to inject energy into the gane.
-
I can’t speak for other people on here but I’ve been annoyed with him losing possession quite a number of times this game with either misplace passes or poor touches. He may well have put himself about a little bit but that is only half his job.
-
Mings just completely bypassed McGinn with a long hopefully past to Traore because he didn’t have confidence to pass to McGinn in the middle of the park
-
But he hasn’t used the ball well today and Sanson as we know is full of energy
-
Might be controversial but I would like to see Sanson replace McGinn. His touch looks a little off today
-
Fair play to Watkins for spotting that gap in making the run
-
Did anyone just hear Stan Collymore’s gag about sleeping in the car??
