  1. I am not too bothered about dominating a full game by possession (Cardiff were a great example of the possession stat being distorted). When the players have had more time together and the injured players return to the side, I am certain our ball retention will improve. Furthermore, we accrued seven points against those teams you have selected, I am sure the majority of us would take this amount points from three games in the future.
  2. It is a work in progress. I am sure our ball retention will improve in the coming months.
  3. In my opinion we have set-up recently to be direct and counter attacking, I have no issue with that.
  4. It is a long term project, I am sure Lambert is going to address our possession problems in the future like he has done with our previous weaknesses.
  5. What could go wrong in two friendly games? There is nothing at stake for England. I would not describe Delph's confidence as fragile, especially if he has got himself playing at a high quality recently, despite his previous injury setbacks.
  6. What is the reasoning behind Tom Cleverley getting picked ahead of Delph? I can only think of Gerrard and Lampard as having any "end-product" for England.
  7. I guess you have missed the last few weeks as people are questioning Lambert's management. Do not feel threatened by a different opinion/interpretation of events, it is all fair.
  8. It is all part of changing the culture of the club. I believe communication is an important aspect in managing a football club and can certainly help towards creating a positive mood around the club. I like the way Lambert interacts with the media, it makes a refreshing change from previous managers; PL tries to stay upbeat and rarely make excuses about a performance/result; PL has also been honest and realistic with supporters about the current team and long term plan for the club.
  9. There is some improvement on last season then? Progress was always going to be gradual. I agree our home form is not the best but you can see we are striving to improve that record. We have deserved a lot more in the last two home games, I think we have genuinely been unlucky recently. I have no doubts our home form will improve in the coming months though.
  10. I would like to believe the majority of supporters can see improvements, however slight they may appear, to the squad/team from last season.
  11. Yet we created enough chances to win and we even had a great chance to snatch the win in the latter stages, thus indicating a strong desire and risk to win the game. The formation and style was primarily due to injuries in the squad; we were missing three key players and this obviously disrupted our playing style like it would any other team.
  12. It is unfair to compare our squad to Everton's, they have built their squad/team over a number of years. They have also used a similar approach to the one we have adopted currently; Baines and Jagielka (unproven talent), for example, are players that have worked their way up to the Premiership and have established themselves as top players; Everton have also been shrewd in the foreign transfer market in the past; they have reinvested money wisely from player sales; and obviously time and stability has been very important to their high consistency and quality. Everton can be considered as an endorsement to the long term plan we have implemented under Lambert. We are still at the embryonic stage of this project, we need to be reasonable and patient in the coming months and years.
  13. We are making progress - the West Ham performance/result is testament to that fact. We have been unlucky in recent games, we have deserved more points in my opinion. I just hope in the future transfer windows we can acquire players who can make a difference to our side immediately.
  14. I can see the home form improving in the coming months, we were unlucky against Everton.
  15. What a goal! - http://videa.hu/videok/sport/lp-ziJV7WgOMdIDoEdS?start=26.467

  17. Ivelin Popov? He scored last night against Feyenoord.
  18. Nicklas Helenius stalked and attacked !!!
  19. Who cares? Quite a funny comment, I thought. Exactly the kind of remark I find myself making with regards to my little nephew. Except your comments are a little inside joke and not made to the mass-public. Are the media still sore about Benteke? Get over it.
  20. so by that logic, asking for 25m for a player with one good season under his belt is also barmy. correct ? We have to protect our own interests.
