  1. Or rather we need to let him learn the Premier League yeah good point, hes got the potential to be better i think anyway. If we are talkin about the same player Oh I'd say we probably are  I just hope AM doesn't manage to destroy his wonderful potential, because he could be a very promising player for Villa, and I believe future captain.
  2. I think thats fair. But im still overall convinced he is not the long term solution.. to get use back into the top 8 in the prem.. We used to finish 6th place consistently... but i think its fair to give him these next four games.
  3.  I did not know that. I know that the first season under MON was not great but I did not think it was anywhere near as bad as this. I thought AVFC got 50 points that season. we did finish with 50 points. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006%E2%80%9307_FA_Premier_League And then the next season he finished with 60 points-2007/08, then the next season he finished with 62 points-2008/09, at lastly he finished the 2009/10 season with 64 points, finishing ahead of liverpool and a couple behind Man city.. Ah i miss those days!! MON improved Season upon season with villa, well points anyway.

  6. this should be answered by someone who attends the games as from streams or tv it is not visible for me if players are, or are not communicating during the match broader than simple "pass me". the defense must be in constant communication to be better positioned and marking properly. only thing i can confirm that Keane is non-stop talker managing almost whole attack as you can see his talking and oftenly frustration on simple errors or misplaced passes and lack of movement. yeah keane did look like he could organize an attack..good we need more players to speak up, and organize the team, clearly because as much as we can blame Mcleish for most things, he can't be on the pitch with the player..there just doesnt seem to be any fire in there bellies, no passion to try and close anyone down.. I think they have lost confidnece in AM, so have he fans.. And lerner is just now in denial...but keane has gone now so thats another thing we have lost, a voice on the pitch, at least trying to organize things..
  7. yeah but unfortunately that just seems to be the way our season is turning out... I just want this season to end already, With us staying up of course.
  8. Yeah think it was a mistake to get rid of him , and Cahill was another mistake to get rid of..i mean who sells Cahill-future england CB for habib beye, and james collins?? I mean it makes no sense. Craig is a very useful player, can play in alot of positions.
  9. Not sure I agree, don't forget we had bouma Laursen mellberg Barry Plus MON had cash to buy Petrov Carew and Young The squads were similar in capability but MON inherited a much better defence Laursen had played about 10 or so games for Aston Villa before MON arrived. His best years were while MON was in change. Samoe for Bouma, he was rubbish his first season. Barry was on his way to Portsmouth for 4 milion pounds until MON arrived and kept him. Says it all. King Olof, was of course, king Olof. MON's first season squad was extremely poor, much much weaker than this season's. Yeah, I'd agree with that. I'm remembering him having Baros up front, Luke Moore out wide with Gabby on the other flank and Gavin McCann in midfield. Wiki says it all for me, especially with their most played starting XI Yeah looking at that team, its not the greatest of attacking talent is it? AM has more attacking talent now, than MON did back then... Minus Barry.. take a look at our midfield. very very weak.. same as now.. We never replaced The engine of James milner.. Insead we got Ireland, who on his day is a good player, Will never have the work rate of milner.. We need to find a player similar to milner.
  10. With that ginger muppet at the helm..Anything is possible.
  11. Also lets not forget that MON did not inherit one of the leagues best stikers... But a better defence..AM had money to buy N'zogbia and look how well that has worked out for him.. And i re-call Ashley young was about the amout of money right? Simple fact is McLeish struggles to get the best out of players. We are seeing it with N'zogbia... if he was playing for MON i think he would be doing alot better.
  12. there 'old school' way off defending is absolutely killing us. where is the communication?
  13. No team around is too good to go down, its arrogant to think we are too good to go down, you just have to look at Newcastle.. Massive club and hey went down.
  14. yeah id agree with this.. MON is just a much much much much better manager, no question.. His ability to get the best out of players far surpasses AM.. MON makes players better than they really are. or just makes them believe they are, and hey it did work..but i think whwen the players looks at AM they have no respect for him.. Hes lost the dressing room, and his time is over.. he needs to go. PS: sorry about the double post, must have clicked the button twice..

  16. God knows why 3 bloody players are getting attracted to 1 frickin ball. and leaving a man unmarked in the box.. it was really crap defending.. Collins is like a moth to a flame.. He needs to go, aswell as warnock, beye, we need a HUGE clear out this summer.
  17. Go. hes slowly destroying our club 1 game at a time.. I just can't take it anymore. 1000000% GO, Fu@?! off, back to scotland..
  18. i know its irrelivant now, but we porbaly should have got Baines from wigan a few years ago.. Would have been a quality signing, great business by moyes.
  19. In what universe are we better? Its the equivalent of having DOL as manager and ellis as owner, But McLeish as manager and Lerner as owner.. We basically have done a massive circle. and ended up no better.
  20. Yes - but it is his inability to do that - what makes him a poor chairman. Your statement is a bit like saying emille heskey is a good player - all he needs to do is score a few goals. haha.
  21. Think this probaly makes the most sense. Althoug Cuellar can play anywhere in the back four.
  22. Which means he will miss alot of important fixtures, McLeish may lose his job if these results don't go his way. Dunne has been ok for us this season.
  23. I think it would be stupid to tempt fate, im pretty confident we will stay up.. But with McLeish in charge, really how confident can one be.
  24. What happens if we sell all our players, being in Mcliesh own players and he fails and get sacked.. we will be stuck with crapper players then before he arrived, look at N'zogbia for example, he is not performing and he was Mcleish's own signing, now imagine a whole team of them... Giving McLeish could spell the end of villa in the PL. Any lower than 9th will be a disappointment this season. Its looking increanisgly like than we will be hovering around the relegation zone. McLeish is not right for this club, just like Juande Ramos was not right for spurs, But was a great coach for Sevilla... McLeish is not the right coach for Villa. he doesnt suite our play and there is no point forcing McLeish and Villa, because it won't end well. He needs to go. but he is just the start of the Problem at AVFC.. If Lerner is not going to invest any more money in players, then i think there needs to be change.
