It was clear when Houllier was appointed they had no footballing people on the board and so they ran to Graham Taylor for advice. This time round they ran and asked Fergie for a letter of recommendation. Any decent owner has people on the board that know about football. You never read about any other club asking for the advice on managerial appointments from SAF, or any other manager for that matter.

Of course he won't quit, he would walk away without money and probably never get a job in this league ever again. He quit Blues because a relegated side were going to sack him and along came naive, foolish Lerner offering a 3 year deal + extra money. Talk about winning the lottery, and as expected its Villa being the laughing stock. -

I think his heart's in the right place. If we can mobilise enough support for our cause maybe he'll listen? If his heart was in the right place he'd have been to more games this year and never appointed McLeish in the first place.

We're only playing the big teams in December and look at the points we've picked up and chances created during a game. Theres nothing trigger finger about it.
