    He's on at least £2m a year. Add to that the compensation paid to O'Neill and Houllier. There's no way McLeish will be sacked as we'd have to pay up his contract (approx. £5m). He's going nowhere sadly. Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what he is on, but he's defo on more than a million a year. £2m a year is just even more depressing. So roughly we paid £3m to sign him, £6m to sack him and Lerner wouldn't pay Everton £9m for Moyes. :cry:

For a second I actually thought there reading it back, that was someone pissing about..but it isn't.. :cry: :cry: The worst thing about that quote is he actually undermines himself, yes they were a decent team going forward but as he says himself it was Steve Bruce's side. The teams he built were anything but attacking. Exactly mate. How he can call his team "dynamic" is beyond me. Its the same crap every single week "we need to show character". Its depressing.

    I'm not sure this is a million miles away from where we're at, surely? (not the we 'aspire' to avoid relegation, obviously, but it is where 'we're at'). and surely not a reason not to go to the games. How is it not a reason? In such dire economic times, fans expect a lot more for their money. If the best Villa can bring in is Steve Davis, who failed here previously, then of course fans can decide whether to stay away or not. The signings so far have left a lot to be desired. Why should fans put up with the club spending their money on average crap?

What manager actually comes out and explains their tactics in so much detail? Not that they would ever come to fruitation on the field anyway. 0 shots against United in the first half.
