  1. Hi Gen, I think you may have missed my post.. I'm not pushing it much but would like to make sure it doesnt happen to anyone else...Thanks for your time..
  2. Hi General, I have a little complaint about the ticket office. I was making the trip over to the game on Saturday from Ireland and from what I thought I had two tickets booked in the Holte End in prime position in the centre of the stand. I had been in contact with the Ticket Office last week when I was told that my tickets had been booked after I gave in payment details and was told about the charge that would be put to my account for use of the credit card. I was happy, having bought tickets for the game in the Holte End.... I got to the ground early on Saturday about 1pm, eager to soak up a bit of the atmosphere prior to the game. I went straight up to the Holte End ticket kiosk where I was told my tickets would be waiting for me.. The guy in the kiosk searched high and low for them but they were not to be found.. I gave him my booking reference number and card details, yet he still could not find any info on tickets or a booking I had made... I was getting worried now that I would not get to see the game having come all the way over from Ireland for the day.. I went down to the main ticket office then and as the game was not a sell out, I managed to get two tickets, but in a poorer position than my original supposed booking had me in.. I wasn't going to complain on the day because basically I dont get over to the Villa that much, maybe once a season, although I intend to get over for the Newcastle game.. I just wanted to enjoy the day and at the end of the day I had tickets to the game for the same price so i wasn't too unhappy.. I just fear that the next time I go over that the same will happen and I will be stuck in a limbo having no tickets for the game, which is not good having spent money on flights and making the effort to come over for the day. I appreciate the work that the ticket office are going through at the moment and they were helpful in getting the best possible tickets for me.. Would appreciate if you maybe looked into why this order slipped through the net as I dont want to go over again to a match that maybe sold out to find that my order has not gone through again... Thanks, Donogh PS, Keep up the good work that Randy is doing.. The changes are being noted...
  3. I shall not be partaking in this this year as my girlfriend is off in Oz for the year... Saves me a fortune to be honest!!!!
  4. I'm in at 6'7... Some call me Peter Crouch....
  5. If she's Irish then you can almost gaurantee she's at it over there. Yeah shes Irish and has promised me that she wouldnt but not too confident myself! At the same time, dont want to just go out and ride like a jockey here cos if she does come back and says she hasnt gone near a thing, then i'll look like a right spanner! :-)
  6. Used to be a couple of times a week but the girlfriend has since gone to Oz so its me, Pam and her five sisters for the next while anyway unless I hear she's at it over there at which point I shall be active again! :-)
  7. If theres free beer involved, you cant turn it down...
  8. Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates. 'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said,'You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.' The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said. 'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said. The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, 'They're bells.' Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'. The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties. St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just what do those symbolize?' The man replied, 'These are Carols.'
  9. General, I have to compliment the club on a fine job that you are doing with the merchandising, even though some people arent too happy!! Never before have I seen such a large array of shirts available for sale over here in Ireland. I walked round the shops on Friday, just having a gander and was amazed to see the amount of Villa shirts on sale. Every shop had a range of sizes. This makes a change to struggling to find a single Villa shirt in Ireland this time last season. Fair Play!!! A Happy Irishman!!!
  10. I think this thread is going to surpass the 1000 page mark!! Especially if theres another hotel sighting!!!
  11. Sounds like a turkey from Ireland!!!! :winkold:
  12. Is there any youtube footage of Naysmith, seeing as that is the only way of judging whether he is good or not?? :winkold:
  13. Just to understand that......... 1935 minutes is 21.5 matches. So slightly under a goal every other game, or 0.47 goals a game. Is that right??? I thought you were highlighting the fact that Jermaine Defoe scored 10 goals in 1935, which would really put question marks as to why MON seemingly wants him..... Were you around to see those goals JG???? :winkold:
  14. You never know... Good back up for Carew, whether he'd leave to be a Villa sub is another matter. Once I saw the teamsheet, that was the first name that jumped out at me, but no, I wouldn't want him here now, after we've got Carew......
  15. Hi General, Its not a Villa related question, but I see you have done a masters degree on Labour Relations.. I only noticed it today, while doing my thesis on Unionised and non Unionised companies. Have you any opinions on this topic, especially on job satisfaction in relation to union membership? Good to know you have an interest in it anyway, and I'm sure you have put it to the test down the years in the army, and maybe a bit of collective bargaining may be needed to sort out some wage issues in Villa Park soon enough!!!!! :winkold: Up the Villa, Lombardo.
  16. I think David Dein may well wait in the wings until the takeover of Arsenal does indeed go ahead, probably some time in the next year, and I would imagine he will be spearheading that takeover as their new CEO.
  17. Hi General, Just on the back of all the JPA praise, I have a small question to ask in relation to the website. I was wondering if the video of "Juan says Farewell" would be able to be made public so that everybody can see it. It will give the younger fans in particular a chance to see how much this guy loves the club, and as you can see for yourself, how much we loved him. This I feel would be a nice gesture for all of JPA's fans, even though its not that long. Thanks again. Lombardo.
  18. Sad end for one of my favourite villa players!! Good Luck JP!!!
  19. I would take Nakamura in a heartbeat.. His set piece deliveries are quality and he has pace as well. Better than Nobby Solano anyway!!
  20. Hi General, Great to see that there may be extra scarves being made. Any chance you could get some of them on sale on the Official website for us poor souls who are stranded in another country and dont have the chance to get to VP as often as everyone else???? Cheers boss!!!!
