  1. Rob, I'm with you, I like the above kit...
  2. I'd love Bannan to stop playing his 'Hollywood' style balls. Just keep it simple kiddo.
  3. Ulver, I got in at 20-1! I saw that B365 had it for a few hours after the Wigan game... I never win bets, so hopefully my luck continues...a tenner is a small price to keep us in the Prem!
  4. Mantis... He's not really bad mouthing Ireland, it sounds more like a; they like you, so use this chance in your favourite position to push yourself to your best. If anything, he is making the point that he sees Ireland in his teams...not Heskey up front as people seem to think. He might make me look a clearing in the woods and go against this, but who knows... By all means be annoyed about him as gaffer, I've lost faith in him too, but don't make mountains out of mole hills, it just belittles the arguement...
  5. For me, Bent's injury should have called for 1 simple action. Randy picks up phone and calls LA Galaxy, it'll be cheap because he's in the States anyway...he asks them to name their price for Keane to extend his loan until May... Surely they can't ask for more than relegation would cost us. Any decent free agents out there? No, not Robert Pires...
  6. He won't walk, he's too proud to call it a day. I finally lost faith yesterday, finally. He's a nice bloke and he obviously wants us to win, but he just doesn't seem to have the formula to do it. Would it be different if he was 'backed by the board' like we were told he would be? Maybe. Right now though, we need 11 points from about 12 games that include Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Man Yoo...
  7. Ok, McLeish hasn't been great, but he's the manager, CNZ needs to be putting a shift in before he starts getting pissy about things. 2 or 3 decent games and a goal doesn't give him the right to kick up a stink...if Gabby or Stan did, they can, they've worked hard this year...CNZ? No chance Sweetheart, sit down.
  8. I'm with VillanMike We ARE playing good football and scoring quite a few goals, it's just our sloppy mistakes at the back that are costing us now... (Fair play to who commented on my last post, I should have made myself clear, I wasn't suggesting we boo the players...my bad.)
  9. When we we going to wake up and realise McLeish is going nowhere. Also, when are people going to realise that McLeish is not fully to blame for our position. Silly mistakes by the same players are what's caused this, not bad tactics, not bad players, silly mistakes. Arsenal score in the last minute because our defenders leave Benayoun unmarked, Newcastle are given far too much space by our defenders who have forgotten where they are, QPR get gifted a fantastic header by Warnock...right there, that's 5 points since Christmas that I've just plucked off the top of my head. With those points we'd be on 33 and 2 wins away from probable safety, that's even before you go into all the other silly goals we've condeded...it's been happening all year. Don't blame the manager, don't blame the board, blame the players who aren't concentrating on the job at hand! You may ask why McLeish doesn't bench these players, well, look at what happens when we rely too much on our youth, we drop points due to silly goals scored from silly free kicks that were given for needless fouls by our young (inexperienced) players. But if you do want to protest, good luck to you, it's your right to voice your opinion. Please don't make us look like Blackburn though.
  10. My worry is that supporters were consulted about what they wanted but this will have been before they knew that Macron were involved. I just know they will put the stupid man on the sleeves...
  11. I agree with Pelle... I'm sure we fell into catergory B, Nike made the kits, we both got proceeds from sales. Barca get paid to do it, Palace pay to do it. Same goes with Adidas, apparently Stoke pay for Adidas to produce their shirts to boost revenue (as more people will buy better brand).... Macron are capable of making quality, let's hope the song and dance they are making of us sticks... Let's also hope that when supporters are "consulted" on which design to use, the shortlist hasn't been narrowed down to absolute dross! In fact, why not open it up for submission, some of the guys on here make some fantastic kits!
  12. Disappointing brand, disappointing kits (unless we get Napoli quality) but £15million over 3 years is hard to turn down! Especially when Nike was £10m over 5 years! Now we all just have to pray that it's as nice as Napoli's and no 'leisure centre' men are on the sleeves!
  13. If we're talking Napoli away, it's going to look ace in white and claret. Home should be on the same template just with blue sleeves. I tell you now though, if that **** leisure centre symbol is on the sleeves or anywhere othere than next to the word Macron (and very small) I will not buy it. Every Macron kit I've seen with it on looks amateur. A little disappointed however, like with Nike, the club say 'no deal is signed/kit designed decided' then another company (JD Sports) goes and puublishes the information. No doubt the club will still claim nothing is certain... I'm also disappointed that we have gone for a 'lesser' name, but this is probably just because everything seems a bit negative right now.
  14. I don't put our results down to Eck's 'negativity', our results are simply down to mistakes, silly, sloppy mistakes! Other teams must be told to just sit back and wait for us to give the ball away. In fairness, Warnock improved a lot in the 2nd, some great tackles. Ireland is now one of the first names on the teamsheet. Ciaran Clark will be our CB and Captain for the next decade, he is a fantastic defender, but at CM, he has been very poor, terrible passing, I was glad he went off... Apart from their goals, QPR were poor, why spend all this money on 2 strikes (even though Helgusson has been scoring regularly) when your midfield is shit? (Sorry Barton, didn't notice you were playing until the 70th minute)...SWP looks quick still...but he didn't offer much else. We're playing better, we just need to cut out the shitty mistakes! Oh and the Derry handball, I saw his arm out from block C7, how the ref missed it is beyond me!
  15. I agree with Yankee Bannan doesn't really offer much. For the "ooh", "aah" and "gaffuw" he seems to get, he hasn't scored many, his pass completion isn't great and he doesn't influence games much... He isn't scaredto shoot, but his doesn't score. He isn't scared to pass, but they go astray... I'm not saying he is shit, I know he is young, but he isn't the messiah like people seem to make out, neither is Gary Gardner, give the poor kid a break!
  16. Although I understand the benefit of time wasting, it makes me **** sick...
  17. Needless foul by Gardner there. Our young players concede stupid fouls all the time and they seem to cost us regularly...
  18. We are creating chances here still...that's an improvement, we usually roll over at this point. It's nice to show some bite still...
  19. Villa4Europe That's what I was getting at...I couldn't bare to type out every mistake, it made me sad...
  20. Also, as much as I rate Cuellar over Collins, Collins is definitely calmer on the ball...
  21. The only difference between the first half and the second is that Arsenal have put away their chances. Both our goals came against the run of play, we were just lucky Arsenal were being, well, Arsenal in the first. We look good on the break but imagine how much better we would be if we had 2 proper wingers playing. Our weakness is definitely at full back. Hutton should have hoofed the ball instead of passing it to Walcott's head. At least we look like we can score now though, makes a change.
  22. N'Zogbia has a heel problem apparently (soz, off topic)
  23. I love when opinions are presented as fact. Anyway, I rate Lichaj, so I'm interested in knowing the following: Is he back in training yet? Thank you, love from me
  24. Anybody saying McLeish is happy with a draw is talking out their arse. Of course he isn't happy, he wants to win over the fans, he wants the team to win. As much as he can be faulted for our situation, the sloppy mistakes from our players can't be his fault...Warnock was dropped by Houllier twice (at Liverpool and at Villa) and he is currently showing us why...those mistakes can't be blamed on the Manager...if he's not allowed to sign a replacement, what can he do? Todays game was better, an improvement. Ireland looks good, Given is great, Gabby is wasted on the wing, Clark is wasted at CM, Collins is a liability (and should be replaced by Clark), Hutton needs to pull his finger out. A draw against Everton, when looked at compared to our last result, was a good point!
  25. I agree about the badge, I really like it, simple, stylish... Much nicer than the busy one from about 93 onwards. Tradition is one thing, but how many clubs have the same badge as pre Premier League? I also liked Leeds' away kit, still not a fan of the 'leisure centre' decals on the sleaves!
