Lerner needs to meet lambert halfway if and i say if lambert was sacked his carear would be semi broken he would look like a shocking manager,but if he walked he could spill the beans and state all that is wrong with the club things we as fans are not aware of. Im expecting a flop of a season and both lambert and lerner need to go.

I know its pre season but lambert must be feeling the pressure the fans will turn as soon as a major setback occurs i.e a thumping fron the september games i think he just cannot win us over.

If lambert were to quit which he wont do keane will step in think lerner has got keane onboard incase this happend. Overall lerner is a leech and lambert is a pawn on a chess board with very limited movement

Goodpoint we will have no playing assets at all we are in a mess and lerner could sort this but he chooses to do nothing cant believe he will let his investment fritter away

Lerner knows very well we need quality in side and ive said it before and ill say it now he is taking a massive gamble on the clubs future wigan got caught out and were no different he either spends or we will struggle again untill we get relegated which could be in the next few seasons. If hed have signed bent when mon was here i think it would be very different now he pumped in fortunes and just got bored bent in that team would have pushed us on instead were in freefall

I think the bomb squad was thought up by Faulkner, Lerner and Lambert as the quickest way to get those players off the books. It workd to some extent. Had Bent played even half decently while at Fulham he'd have got a move. Hutton was wanted back in Spain but I suppose wages/fee couldn't be agreed. Which I suppose leaves only Given without a possible move away even though he had some wages payed by other clubs whilst on loan. So it wasn't a total failure and now that Lambert has been made aware that the club is being sold and he has close to zero budget to continue his project he is trying to use all assets at his disposal. Which is the intelligent thing to do if no transfers are possibel to free wages to sign replacements. I like him, I think he signed up for a very difficult job and has tried his best to completely rebuild a squad on very limited resources in a way that his balance sheet for signings and sales will be positive for the club. Not easy in and of itself. Fair point mate. I get blinkered as villa being a massive club and huge honour to manage it but when you put your point across some would say were lucky to have him his hands are tied and lesser men would of walked. Lambert tried to be clever and it backfired hes reverting to tried and tested like he should of at the start. Lowton has dropped the last year so him going dosnt bother me too much

His whole bomb squad change around for me makes him incompetent didnt he say hutton was finished he aint the best but been the better rb pre season i just dont trust lambert and he changes his mind too much

Lambert has reversed his opinion on the whole young and hungry vs old and overpaid thingy. We're now where we should have been 2 years ago - the young and hungry, obviously of better quality, should have come after the old and overpaid had been used and/or sold. Still, with Hutton, Bent, Given and N'Zogbia in the team we're now more likely to scrape to 17th. Totally agree young and hungry was never going to work we knew that thicko lambert didnt. I hope he never ever tries it again you need experience in pl i think keane has told lambert his fortune lowton will be the first of many i think. I think lowton is finished and if we can get a left back so is bennett he will use richardson or baker as cover.
