  1. If they're on par with the Napoli kits in terms of quality (or even the West Ham ones, and I'm sure we'll be more of a priority than West Ham) then I won't be too fussed. Would've preferred Umbro though.
  2. This. Petrov-Gardner should work pretty well I think.
  3. Who gives a shit about what MON is doing. Let's just get behind our improving team, and get off the manager's back for once...jeez.
  4. THEY ARE WINNING. Just like they never moaned about Eck's football in the Championship because THEY WERE WINNING. If we were sat in 6th place not a single **** would be given about the "negative" football. But we dont play negative football mate. It's a myth that all the haters cant let go of. To be fair, we did set out negatively in quite a few games earlier in the season. Spurs, United, Newcastle at home come to mind. Yeah, thats probably fair. Was that down to AM being cautious while he settled in and found his best line-up? Who knows. But over the last 2 months, i think the tactics, brand of football and attacking intent have improved 10-fold. Yep, agreed. Let's hope it continues.

  6. Maybe because our style of play has changed in the past month or so? It's optimism at this point, but if we can build on those performances I dont see why not. We'll just have to wait and see.
  7. I don't see how we can realistically expect anything above a top half finish (8th - 10th) this season. I think we're on course to do so despite a few setbacks. The only problems were performances and style of football which imo improved quite a bit since December.
  8. and when the position was vacant someone mentioned Pardew to which 99.9% of this website told that person they were completely mental for that suggestion. My point exactly. Pardew has had 3/4's of a good season this year. Let's see where they finish and what they do next year especially when the big boys come knocking for their better players in the summer? I don't like AM or want him as our manager but I am willing to give credit where it's due when our team puts in a decent performance or he signs a decent player. If the boot is on the other foot and we go out and set up and perform like we did at Spurs or Swansea then I will critisize. Does this make me fickle, no IMO, I am just providing comment on what is seen on the pitch. Agreed.
  9. This is a good point. Coupled with the fact that McLiesh is on a 3 year contract, it seems he was hired not only to clear out the deadwood but also to rebuild.
  10. It would be interesting to see how we perform, and if AM builds on the QPR performance.
  11. I know, he should've at least tried hocus pocus to reverse the damage.
  12. Those who give credit to AM for the second half performance are disgraceful? Are you actually serious? Did the players magically come back after halftime with more motivation and intensity? Yet I'm sure when we go down to fluky and/or freak goals AM takes full credit.
  13. Le Tiss only missed one penalty out of 48 in his career, **** impressive.
  14. Still gobsmacked that he was one of our highest earners.
  15. The performances, not the results is what I was comparing. Surely McLeish was aiming for draws as well, and rightly lost each time. But Hughes was extremely lucky to get one, and didn't deserve it either.
  16. :? Strange comment. You do realise just how many injuries they had and first start players QPR fielded last night ? Hes only been their manager for few weeks. When our manager disgracefully fielded 6 defenders with Heskey and Hutton as wingers to start at SPurs he had NO injuries . That was his first choice selection. Besides QPR didn't lose 2-0 last night did they? Nah, they were all pretty much the same abject, toothless performances despite perhaps the number of defenders on the pitch and amount of injuries differing. Before the game this new manager and their new players were bring cited as reasons why the would probably beat us.
  17. You're right, but that's hardly the description of an absolutely terrible or dire performance is it? And I don't think we were outplayed even for a minute. We may not have been able to create much in the first half, but there was only one team in it imo. It's almost as if Hughes was using our performances against Spurs, United and Liverpool as a template.
  18. Absolutely terrible, really? OTT much? We may have lacked the cutting edge and desire we showed in the second half but it was far from a terrible performance. 68% possession, 8 shots and a goal is anything but terrible, I'm sorry. It wasn't great, and certainly needed improvement in the second half. Improve we did and immensely at that which was no doubt thanks to the booing or some other phenomenon.
  19. This. Best player at the club along with Bent. We should build around these two.
  20. His assist reminds me of his one for Van der Vaart at VP last season.
  21. I can't help but feel that if Gardner started instead of Clark (against Arsenal as well) he could have got himself a goal or two considering the promising goalscoring positions Ciaran got himself into. But being the defensive-minded player that he is, he couldn't take them.
  22. But not the same as those telling us how the 1st half wasn't dire - my missus doesn't know anything about football but could identify the same as above Meh, still not dire. Pedestrian yes, unpenetrating sure. But we still managed to create a goal. Dire would be the performance against Swansea for example. Besides I thought Eck was a liar :winkold:
