  1. I don't want to see Hutton associated with the Villa shirt again. I'm sure he's hated by most of the Villa fanbase.
  2. McLeish brought in the cancer that is Hutton. For that he has to go.
  3. Points wise he's doing a mediocrity job. But performance wise he's been a disgrace. Overall, not good enough.
  4. He did a shit job at SHA. Yes he got 9th and Carling Cup, but if you can manage that then you should have a squad good enough to avoid relegation. At best he's doing mediocrity with us. He IS NOT doing a good job with us. People bring up he's on a tough budget. Oh boo-hoo. He still had 17m to spend. He still has good players such as Given, Bent and Gabby who alone is good enough to keep us in a solid position in the Premier League. Try being Lambert who's had to work his way up through back to back promotions and now he's ABOVE us in the Premier League. That's **** remarkable. If people think McLeish is doing a good job, by that logic they must think Lambert is the King. Stratch that. God.
  5. Stop being a hypocrite. You **** slated him on here when we lost against Arsenal. Now suddenly he's picked up a win against Wolves and he's in your good books again. It's not just you. It's also some other members on here changing their opinion rapidly and then having the cheek to slate the people who they agreed with in the past.
  6. Haha you can talk. You slated him after the Arsenal game and wanted him out. What's happened all of a sudden? No, what DOL was right about was the Villa fans being fickle and you're the prime example.
  7. The people who don't rate McLeish have been consistent with their opinion throughout the entire season. Where as the people who are currently being pro defensive with McLeish didn't want him here when we picked up bad results/performed badly. Like an on/off switch. At the moment, he's at his honeymoon period again it seems, which is strange considering he picks up a league win every few weeks now. Normally as a Villa fan, a back to back win (at the very minimum) would be more honeymoon worthy. Standards have dropped I guess.
  8. I'm not going to get over excited or pro defensive just because McLeish has managed a rare league win. It would be a start if he actually managed a back to back league victory, but so far he hasn't.
  9. Funny how no one was around defending McLeish when we got defeated by Swansea. But when he gets a victory you all come out of the woodwork. It should be interesting how many of you disappear again if we get a bad result against QPR.
  10. It takes him ages to just get 1 win and more than a few are on their way defending him. Yet when we lost against Swansea without much effort on their part, hardly anyone (if any) were defending him. Now I know McLeish treats a win as an alien concept, but there's no need for fans getting over excited by 1 win every so often.
  11. The reason why I don't want McLeish to be given time is because of the poor job he did at Rangers and SHA after he time to build there. Not only were the league finishes bad at the end, but they played one of the worst football in existence and were left with average/below average players due to his laughable pull in the transfer market. We did NOT play well against Wolves. Would you have had said the same thing if we lost 2-1 againt Wolves? No you wouldn't. Keane played well due to his 2 stunning goals, but overall, the team didn't play well enough. The defence was still a mess and we hardly created chances in the box. The same rubbish we've seen through Swansea, Liverpool etc, the only difference being is Keane is stepped up big time. McLeish was given a chance by 2 former clubs and the fans got punished for being patient with him. I don't wanna see the same mistake here. He is known to have a horrible legacy, his league record is still suspect, nothing good will come out of this.
  12. Arsenal are in a fragile state at the moment and they weren't that good against us. But yeah, Ox is a scary character. 2-1 to them.
  13. Why didn't McLeish get Rangers or SHA to play positive football? After all, he has had more resources than managers like Rodgers.
  14. I would take results over performances, but that's not improving. Just because Spurs drew against Wolves at home, doesn't mean we should think a draw at their place is good. So by that logic just because Blackburn defeated Man Utd at Old Trafford, that means a draw against Blackburn at home is a good result for other teams? Nah, doesn't work that way. When MON was the manager we didn't really improve under him despite the good results. It was more or less the same. Same with McLeish in a worst scale. We looked like we were improving quite abit under Houllier though. It's a shame his health scare knocked us back abit, but in the last two games we won back to back against Arsenal and Liverpool (that's amazing for us), where not only was we attacking more, but the defence became insanely good by our standards.
  15. It wasn't so long ago a few wanted him sold just because he wasn't running all over the pitch like Heskey.
  16. Bent - 8 league goals (this season) Torres and Carroll - 7 league goals (in nearly a year) That's **** hilarious considering Bent is having a bad season by his standards who's lacked quality service and has had to play under a manager who doesn't bring out the best of him.
  17. It was a good turnaround and result, but that game was paper over the cracks. We still have major issues to address.
  18. the more important question is why you aren't willing to give him a go. I support Villa, AMC is currently Villa, and so by not supporting AMC you are not supporting Villa. That's ridiculous. Alex McLeish isn't Villa. He's a passenger. Just like the players and board. We support the ethos of the club, not individuals.
  19. Why is it when McLeish wins he gets credit but when he loses it's the players fault?
  20. He can do 23908148021840184209 things wrong, but 1 thing he does right and everyone forgives. :|
  21. The team were **** awful in the first half. If Wolves took their chances better they could have been 5 up and that's just the first half. It was a scrappy win. it wasn't exactly composed was it? We needed Frimpong off (their best player), a man sent off and 2 Hollywood goals to get the winner. We didn't exactly break Wolves defence down very well, where as Wolves did it extremely well in the first half. Look., I'm happy with a win , but I'm not going to treat this like an FA Cup victory. I'll be more thrilled when we win at least 3 games in a row. We haven't managed one back to back league win at the moment.
  22. I bet the optimistic crowd can't wait to give him kudos but they have to remember it was against Wolves and he's still only managed to pick up a mere 6 wins out of 22. Still poor and has to go. You also have to remember that we won Chelsea away and in the next game we lost against Swansea at home with ease. Don't get too carried away in the QPR match, especially when we're faced against Hughes.
  23. That was a crazy game. I can't believe how relived I am that we won against Wolves. WOLVES. If Frimpong stayed on the pitch then it may have been different. The Red Card spell has been broken finally.
  24. Oh **** hell. There's no way this defence can hold on for 8 mins.
