  1. Hughes is smarter than McLeish in every way. What did people expect?
  2. Just think back when Hughes embarassed McLeish's tactics at home and pretty much sealed his relegation last season. Hughes will easily expose his tactics again tonight no doubt.
  3. I see Hutton remains unpunished. McLeish's golden boy.
  4. Stopped reading there. Oh so it's the fans fault then? So explain how Houllier had a better home record than away record? Actually, stratch that. Explain how MON's away record was much better than it was at home despite the fact Villa fans were very supportive at home during his era.
  5. I think I know what's wrong at home. It's the way we're set up. At home you have to be the attacking team, but McLeish has no clue on how to do it. The reason why he has a better away record is he sets us up more defensively to soak up the pressure and hit them on the break. MON did that as well, but again was hopeless at home for the most. But not on the scale of McLeish. MON didn't have a Plan B. McLeish doesn't have a Plan A. What on earth were we doing against teams like Man Utd, Liverpool, Swansea and Everton I have no idea, but it wasn't working. Yet we kept playing clueless football where we couldn't break their defence or even get in the box properly. If we did, it was extremely rare. The Arsenal game was a strange one though. From the off we actually looked like the attacking team with a plan. Fans responded in that game because we actually knew what we was doing for once at home. Where's that gone all of a sudden? You cannot blame the fans because we expected to see the same against Swansea, but there was nothing. Then he takes off Ireland like the out of depth manager he is. Houllier had a better home record but his away record was poor. Was that the away fans fault? Nah, It's because Houllier was the opposite where he was not more defensive/counter attack minded in away matches as opposed to MON/McLeish. I've noticed lately that fans are blaming their own fellow fans, but what I've just written is what I think. It's not the fans fault, it's just McLeish is hopeless at getting the players to attack in a consistent manner. It's a proven fact from this club and other clubs he cannot do that.
  6. Yeah, my mate who's a SHA supporter said the Fulham game was absoutely disgraceful. McLeish did nothing to get them fired up and they were battered from start to finish against Hughes at home. Hughes will have McLeish in his pocket again. Some will probably blame the fans again but you cannot fix a manager like McLeish. It's impossible. SHA fans were supportive of him and they were punished. Twice. A manager should be professional enough to get the team to bounce back, especially at home. He's paid millions ffs to do that job. Fans shouldn't have to cheer 24/7 (it helps, but the performances we've seen at home are deeper than just neeidng a morale boost). Arsenal fans were aggressive at HT when we played them, but they bounced back anyway and won the match. We've yet to do at home when fans didn't like they were seeing. They're all paid millions, if they're too scared to make mistakes then the Premier League isn't for them. **** them off to the League 1 and that goes for McLeish as well seeing as he's the source of the problem because he cannot install confidence and belief in them.
  7. I agree. I don't even like them as individuals. Dunne being the biggest disgrace coming back overweight last season and then having that drunken row with Collins. The club shouldn't have tolerated that behaviour, especially when they earn millions per year. Yet they're still here and again aren't justifying their wages due to shambolic performances.
  8. He bought Hutton who was at fault for all 3 goals today in some form. He also got them playing even deeper than usual during the second half. If you're going to depend on the defence for 45 mins then you're asking for trouble. There's so many ways where one of the 'defenders' will mess up some way. Even in the first half they didn't do that good, it was Given making good saves as he always does. They will also leave gaps where opponents can get in the box with ease. They don't have to break a sweat. They could just jog with the ball and our brain dead defenders will have a hard time reading it, while dropping back further and further. If we had a goalkeeper who's equally as shit as them, we would be leaking in a minimum of 4 goals each game. Given actually does the defence justice.
  9. Just seen the vid. Obviously the people who disliked it have no sense of humor and actually have insecurity issues.
  10. McLeish is extremely deluded as always. On the official site he thought we were international class in the first half. Laughable. Arsenal were all over us, it was just that when the 2 chances came up we were clinical enough to finish them. He also mentions he cannot fault the players. What the actual ****? It's no wonder the defence are shit as they are and won't step up a gear. They have nothing to fear.
  11. As long as McLeish remains at this club, so will Hutton and other players like him as long as he's given time to build. This will resort to horrible football and potential relegation. Why would any Villa fan want that?
  12. If we went down we would be like Leeds where we'll struggle to get back up but could go down again. It would be the worst thing to happen.
  13. I've noticed some people who think it's the SHA connection. You've gotta ask them if they would want a manager like McLeish in their team and test their response. Then they'll be derailed due to their stupidity. But what's unacceptable, something I cannot forgive is when Villa fans bring it up.
  14. Yawn. I hope we win against QPR just to prove how wrong you are. Outside of a bad 20 minutes before Warnock came on we dominated Wolves. We didn't dominate Wolves. Wolves were all over us in the first half firing chance after chance inside the box. In the second half, even with a man down and and their best player injured, we still looked hopeless at going forward. Just because Keane scored 2 wonder goals doesn't equate to us dominating Wolves. If we dominated them we would have had far superior possession and chances.
  15. You see, the Wolves game was just paper over the cracks. That was exactly the same performance. Only difference was Keane who pulled out 2 hollywood goals out of nowhere, Wolves lost their best player through injury and was a man down. Our defence were still the same shit. We still couldn't keep the ball well enough. We had no aggressive plan to break them even when they were 10 men down. Yet just because we won that fans go blind, yet now we've lost a game they can actually see what a pile of rubbish this team is through management and indiviual errors. Don't expect us to win against QPR either unless Keane somehow bags more hollywood goals. There's no Plan A to break down a team under McLeish. Just remember when we had to respond against Swansea and how many shots did we have on target? The Swansea defence were extremely comfortable and they're not the first. Alot of teams have managed to walk away with a clean sheet victory at Villa Park, while our useless manager just stands there looking way out of his depth. The best we can hope is to stay up. Isn't it cool that we've been in the Premier League since it's birth and have the same ambition as Norwich who were in League 1 just two seasons ago? Yet what's more worse they'll probably finish above us due to the sheer gap quality of managers. **** you McLeish, you piece of shite.
  16. Yet they're rarely punished. I have no idea how Hutton has wormed his way back into the first team. I have no idea why Warnock is still here as well. You know, I could let it go if it was their first mistake...but they keep making mistakes, not just harsh mistakes, but straight up baby quality mistakes. They're **** stupid. All drunken pissheads who all deserve to be in the Championship.
  17. He's a **** disgrace. We need 2 new fullbacks quickly. I don't want McLeish replacing them either.
  18. So what did he say at HT? We've won this lads, just sit back and will be in the next round? A complete disgrace of a manager. We're now out of both cup ties early and nothing to show for it in the Premier League. He bought his buddy Hutton for 4 million. Why does people want this manager to spend more money on rubbish like him? Do you even like Villa? No, the sooner he goes, the better. I don't want to see him building a squad full of shite where we'll get relegated. Oh, and the people who kept blaming the fans because there wasn't much support. Well when we was 2-0 up, the Villa fans were really loud and yet they got punished with a **** disgraceful display in the second half. You cannot polish a turd with McLeish's tactics. It's literally impossible. Do you reckon Rangers and SHA fans actually miss him? Absoutely not. Stop with the insecurity issues just because he's our manager and see him for what he truly is. A horror story for AVFC.
