I was told Bent would not play today. He will be completely wasted with the defensive game McLeish will be playing. Injured, I doubt it.

I was thinking at the game, McLiesh is finally listening to us, dropping Hesky and playing Albrighton. He set up a good team, probably the strongest this season. But how he played them was an utter disgrace. A quality midfield in my eyes, but never seen past the half way line. His tactics are truely woeful. He set up a strong team only to let them stay much to deep. He was screaming at the players to get back all the time, no wonder they dont wanna go forward. In reality our team is no worst than Newcastle, but the way we set up is an utter crime. MC LEISH OUT! It will get no better, get the banners out now, boycot a game, he needs to go!!! Its proof it was never about him being Blues manager, it was about him playing shite football. Lerner and co should have listened to the fans, you have been proven wrong, you should be very embarrassed about the appointment you fools!!!

Needs to be won Simples. If we **** draw another game against a average side, I swear I will not be resposible for my actions. No HUTTON no HESKEY. We need to play a fast paced attacking game and I believe it will be in the bag.

Cuellar is no answer I know that for certain. He has'nt played for a while and we all think he is our saviour instead of Collins. I think were dreaming, he is a SPL defender always had been, not good enough for premiership much to slow.

Tatically inept. Still does not know his first team, does not know how to defend set pieces, does not play players to there strengths. Has no idea how to set up a midfield or how to use 2 fine attacking options in Gaby and Bent. Buys shite, Hutton, my god is just woeful, Jenas...............say no more, will he ever be fit enough this season and like o'neil cant see the shite in Heskey. And we still have people defending him. I want to like him I really do, I love the way he shouts the passion from the touch line. But in truth he has not kept up with Premiership football, its all a bit old school football from him and its just not good enough. Guys............nothing will changeits all a bit o'neil (ok without the wins) zero plan B.

Just got back. From what I saw Herd aggresively pulled his leg away from olsson but I could'nt see no stamp, bad bad decision in my eyes. Im not McLiesh's biggest fan but slating him after we had a player sent off and are dowm to 10 men is a little harsh. Yes we could have played better, but its cery diffeicult with 10. A couple of points, Gaby was up for it, Petrov played a part in the negative second half, every time he had the ball he was static and would pass back. Need to tighten the defensive line for corners and free kicks. All in all not the best and im starting to think we are not to good not to go down, look at the league points we have not far from the zone.

I guarantee he will be offered a new contrct next summer or sooner.

I think Mcleish had the believe we could beat Man City, though I think the team thought other wise. I was there and they lost the spirit for me, this is a big thing McLiesh tries to bring to the the team. It seems McLeish is doing a respectable job, but sometimes the team just dont listen, you can tell by the way McLeish shouts from the by line. Seems a bit of negativity and belief from the players themselves sometimes. It is a rere occasion you see the fight and graft from our team, like you would from a Stoke or Tottenham side. Sorry guys but this is how im seeing things.

I think he'll be dropped once Jenas is fit. Look forward to seeing what he can do for us.

Im kinda starting to think its the manager struggling with the players. I would love to see a game where everyone is 10 outa 10 comitted.

Because in the 1st half we sat deep, in the 2nd half we tried to play football. Play football and players like Bannan, N'Zogbia, Bent and Ireland will shine...Sit deep and they will rot...The question is, has McLeish learnt this from the game of 2 halves today? Or is he still clueless? 100%

There is no doubt our game shodows the set up and play of blues. Even the blues played good football on occasions. From a positive point of view, we do have better players than blues had, McLeish just needs to start playing them to there strengths i.e as today, we can play good attacking football if set up correctly.

Hey why move this thread??? Its every game McLeish has played negative tactics not just this one, I want to know what fans think about every game not just this one............move it back

We play a much better game when we play further up the field. Anyone can see this. There is to much pressure playing deep all the time.

Ive been to every game bar QPR today but I watched with detail. The first half was absolutely awful football, but the second half for 10 minutes no doubt we played some quality football, then reverted back to negative defensive tactics. Is it McLeish setting us up incorrectly or is it the players not playing the formation the manager wants. You see McLeish at nearly every game going mad, asking players to get back into position and to keep the ball down on the floor to feet etc. Is it the players are not good enough or McLeish's tactics. I think we proved today we can play proper attacking football and with Bent fit I think he would have had at least one.

If your watching Sky sports, totally agree what Francis said. Some great players on the field for us, just not playing attacking football what so ever. Not using them to there strengths.
