  1. No closing down from villa what so ever, sitting well deep too, really unhappy how McLeish has set this team up again
  2. I think he does a job, but he does seem to slow the game down when its at pace. Maybe we need to leave him out a game or 2 see how we play without him. Will answer some of our questions mi thinks.
  3. Im going so just hoping its not another boring one. Gotta see 3 points from this one and Ireland has gotta be given this game surely.
  4. I would say Delph has lost his place, with Jenas coming in for next weeks game providing he is fit.
  5. Im hoping he will improve, woeful today hardly got a mention. Only positve, he has a good cross on him if he has the chance.
  6. We need to let Ireland start a game at least. I do believe now he will put some effort in and bring us a little creativity in midfield. To start him against Hereford and not a premier league side now is even for him, taking the piss. From now on i dont think he can be judged unless he has a full game.
  7. Defensively very good, Dunn is back to great. Attacking wise, some bloody help Maca with attacking tactics cause we aint got a clue. Given again fooking quality, bestest signing.
  8. Unfortunately, I think your right. We may as well loan Bent out like we did Makoun if were gonna play like this!!! The negativity Im trying to avoid of MaCleish is coming true!!
  9. I am one of the more positive ones. But I have to say...............What are the tactics?????????? Our players look clueless.........
  10. Looks better now Bannan has come on. Heskey has little quality, but just slows things down to much!!
  11. Yeah as if that was'nt coming???????? Nice to see MaCleish having a fit on the sideline though, he's not happy!!
  12. its the effect his presence has on the way we play though mate... lob balls up to Heskey and more often than not he will bring it down and hold it up or get a head on it... it aint gonna get us goals It got us 3 against Blackburn..... Those 3 goals are debatable. The first goal was easy for Gabby because he was against an OAP. The second goal must be rarer than say Wigan winning the league. How often do you see Heskey score OUTSIDE the box? The third goal was extremely lucky because Petrov was intended to shoot but somehow the ball bounced to Bent. He won't see service like that being common at all. And it was Blackburn. One of the shittest defensive teams around with a head coach as manager. We were lucky to avoid their new CB partnership of Dann/Samba. We won't score many (if at all) when we face them again. We were dominant throughout the game, you can only play against the XI in front of you. A lot of that dominance came from Heskey winning his headers from GK's, a few long balls. Like him or not (and im not particularly a big fan), he will work hard all game, hold up the ball well - its then the job of Gabby, CNZ, Bent to fire the goals in. He is a very good TARGET man, to get the ball in the final 3rd and hold it there. Sorry, we must have a shit team if were starting to big up Heskey!!!
  13. I think im ready to have a fit if we play this game with all thought on defense. This should be a good game to go all out attacking and tear Everton apart. I can feel my blood getting hot already if this game is shit boring. I guarantee this is MaCa's tactics from now on if we dont attack here. You wait to see how boring we are against Man U and co if we cant full on attack Everton!
  14. The truth of it is, our midfield are playing more defensively helping Dunn and Collins much more and making it easier for them, anyone who watches the games can see this. Yes its good but as we can see, our forward attcking i.e service to bent is suffering. Im backing McLiesh 100%, but am hoping if we bring in a player or 2 he will change this set up, cause the game against the Wolves the weekend was poor entertainment to say the least and before you bite my head off, yes, there were signs of Blues playing style! Im in the belief this will change..................hopefully??
  15. Just back from the game. Agree here, we were all over wolves just could'nt get the finish. Im not a great lover of Ireland, but replace Hesky with him please. Hesky at present is woeful, Ireland is a little more creative. If ireland played like he did against Hereford we would have a goal or 2 today for sure.
  16. A quallity business development manager can save you a serious amount of money, without impacting on any other area of the company. I.e changing for cheaper contractors, emptying the vending machines once a week (random) instead of three times etc etc. All these little things in big companies add up believe me!
  17. Aggregation of Marginal Gains (AMG) every penny saved counts. You can work towards AMG in many ways?????? I'll get back to work now getting a little carried away, to many meetings!
  18. Itk tells me this cost cutting/house keeping has stretched to the cleaners. The cleaners at Villa park for 20 years have just been kicked out because the new contractors were cheaper and said they would work weekends, if ever required, for free.
  19. Ive been away from here for a bit and have been catching up on a few debates, though still keeping full interest on football. It seems to me a few are getting a bit to carried away with whats happening at our football club, like were the only club tightning our purse strings. selling our best players, losing fans........? Get a grip lads, look outside the box. Newcastle. Everton. Arsenal. Just some of the clubs suffering at the moment, no money, lossing best players not wanting to bring in others. I look at these teams and think we are not doing to badly as a club. Look at Arsenal, they are a bigger more successful team than us yes, but are still selling there best players and finding it hard to replace them or release any big trasfer money. Newcastle, well who would want to be a fan of there's at the moment. I look at how people slate Lerner, not speaking, spending lots, and think, my god if any of you were Newcastle fans you would be commiting suicide by now with M Ashley's input into the club. So on a whole I am feeling postitive about our club and seriously not sure (apart from a thin team) where all this negativity is coming from. I read one post, now we may have sold L Young and I quote, ("This board is an absolute joke and anyone who thinks that they care about the club and not the money is delu") you know who you are, 80% of the Owners are exactly the same, get a grip and lets start supporting our club come rain or shine. UTV
  20. Just got back too! Ireland was the best man on the pitch impressed me, Bannan needs to be starting games. Dont sell Makoun, great passing ability. Albrighton hmmmm, needs to sort his head out, he should have shined in this game!. N'Zog needs to get up to speed but showed good signs. Even beye had a few good touches with the 5 munites he played. Ref had a shocker!!!! I think the stats were 18 fouls us and 2 yellows, 4 fouls them no cards. A few people infront of me were pointing and whinging at M'cLiesh, but for me it was all good could have been 5 nil, Hereford keeper had a great game. Maca did exactly what we wanted him to do!
  21. Petrov still passing back though. nearly everytime!!!!!!
  22. good attacking football true, does'nt seem to include bent though????
