  1. A bit better though so many players have been shit.. The only players that are playing well are Herd, Ireland and Weimann the rest are so poor.
  2. He'd be one of the worst players in the Championship based on this performance. I don't get how a player that trains with the first team at one of the greatest training facilities in Europe hasn't improved at all.. He's shit and the way he's looking he'll be so hard to sell as no one will want him, he's the Heskey of wingers.
  3. What I want to see right now is Ireland running over to McLeish and knocking him the **** out.. McLeish has no right to get angry when it's his fault this is happening.
  4. What pisses me off is McLeish will probably change things at half-time when we're more than likely 3-0 down when Weimann as good as he is can't do a thing to rectify it.
  5. Arsenal goal.. So it begins. How many they gonna score?
  6. Someone shoot Heskey.. He's a lovely guy but we need him off the team sheet permanently. Weimann should be starting.. He won the game for us a week or so back. Why does Heskey start when he's done **** all this season, the season before and the season before that?
  7. Weimann to score 2.. Hardest part for that lad is getting on the pitch.
  8. Eh.. We are looking into Das Bost, he is yet another striker we've been linked to in the last 2-3 weeks.. "Big summer spending" to me is Lerner gives me £30 million and I sell Bent for £20 million. He then buys in Das Bost for £5 million and has £45 million to spend on the rest of the team. Now you may say £30 million is a lot to be given but McLeish barely touched the funds he got last summer or in January.. He may have even more than £30 million to spend if he's been saving it up. You think Lerner is going to give him £30 million and every penny we get for bent? I am trying to be optimistic unlike many on this site.. Sure I may just end up let down, but I am tired of the negativity about everything surrounding this club.. So yeah I hope Lerner does as the club needs it.

  10. Another striker? This is a kid that will want first team football.. Who do we drop? Weimann? Bent?.. The only one that could play is Agbonlahor but he'll be on the wing. I think all this speculation for strikers leads me to believe McLeish has weighed up how much it'll cost for the rebuild he wants to do and he needs to sell Bent to be able to fund it all. If we were keeping Bent we wouldn't be looking for strikers that are after first team footabll we'd be after a better than Heskey but happy to be bench warmer type.
  11. He'll become a pretty big name though after he gets a game or two.. MLS is getting more competitive but for a player like Ireland the league will be easy for him. Once he gets a few assists and maybe even a few goals as to be fair MLS is no where near Premier League standard, the NYRB fans will be hailing him as the best signing since Henry.
  12. Would make sense why he's been playing with a smile on his face since around about October as he's been promised a wonderful life in good ol' New York city.. Ah well if it's true I wish the guy the best.
  13. Fergie started managing Man United at 45 and that wasn't even his first managing job either, at an even younger age he took Aberdeen to European glory. There is nothing to state that someone in their 30's is any less qualified to do a good job. If anything the adage of "old habits die hard" goes very well with rather old managers like McLeish, they get into a groove that they can't break out from..
  14. I think he's hoping to.. It appears Holman is an Ireland replacement.. Herd may very well be a Petrov replacement though we do also have Makoun who could come back and do a shift. If we keep Ireland then Holman can also play right or left wing so we could put N'Zogbia in his more favoured right wing position.. I think this transfer window is about replacing dead wood but also about buying players that will allow the ones we have to play in their correct positions. I believe the safe bets to be going in the summer are; Petrov, Delph, Heskey, Dunne, Warnock. Those that have a maybe are; Ireland, Bent, Collins, Makoun. Those I don't think will go (but probably should to better their careers); Agbonlahor, Delfouneso.
  15. Well, they play in europe. We dont. West Brom have a 3rd kit.. You don't need to be in Europe to have one.
  16. Sad but true.. I hope the guy is alright but it really isn't looking promising, if he had started breathing as you said they would be sending someone in the know straight to the press box, it doesn't take this long to update a website. This whole event really puts life into perspective, one second you have it another you're fighting for it..
  17. No idea if it is too late for this year but at least Macron have the ideas, I sent the kits with the altered badge Congrats.. Here's hoping they don't get too many ideas or if they do hopefully they have a "crap, kids suggest" pile and a "serious ideas" pile so your ideas don't get lost under innocent spam. I think out of everything they may use the redesigned club badge as that is just stylish. Here's hoping they like them and take the ideas on board as personally I don't think their designers will come up with anything better.
  18. And to that regard I welcome Holman and any of our future signings whoever they may be.. Personally anyone thinking this is a risk or a waste on a "shit" player just look back to Ashley Young. We paid what? £8 million for a Watford striker that was not proven to be the least bit good in the Premier League.. Guess what he was one of our best wide players and now plays for Man United.. Now I'm not saying Holman will be playing for Man United in 2-3 years, but that the guy could easily be a Villa great. Give him a **** chance..
  19. Yes.. Weimann isn't like Bent he won't just stand around waiting for the ball to come to him. He'll spend the game playing kinda like Rooney would running around and getting into logical positions. The guy is full of confidence and he knows exactly where the goal is.. Personally Weimann is a better choice to start this game than Agbonlahor.
  20. Weimann just scored for the reserves.. It's like his 8th goal in his last 4 reserves appearances.
  21. This news is probably going to upset Albrighton.. He's got into the first team consistently for the first time in his career and he's now looking at the signing of an International/Champions League calibre player that just so happens to play in his position. Poor kid..
  22. Very well indeed.. When I saw his interview after the game I was struggling to keep a straight face, it was just so bizarre. He started words in Austrian and ended them in Brummie..
  23. Yes because we actually played well and defended well.. Until he met us he had scored 5 goals in 3 games.
  24. I wouldn't mind his brother back at this club.. I don't think we would do all that badly with Craig and Gary in the middle. I didn't rate Craig when was with us initially, but he's turned into a fairly good player at Sunderland. I know we can probably do better than Craig but we can also do a lot worse.
