Every photo and video of Jack he seems to have a handler in Villa coaching gear following him around, I'd assume it's one of the media/PR department - or someone under instructions from the club - making sure there's no press or anything getting out, as too much noise will cause a buzz around the place which could disrupt things.

Especially if the new contract isn't signed, could knock £50k a week off his wages!

Ah right, just looked it up and realised the Wirral isn't part of Lancashire, which I always assumed it was given I pretty much think of it as part of Liverpool, so it confused me to not see it and I'd guessed what I think is Fleetwood was the Wirral. Makes more sense now though.

You can't really read much into it. Probably just a load of people putting bets on due to the Villa tweet and the bookies have suspended betting to protect themselves from losing too much money. Tends to happen when loads of people bet on the same thing at decent odds all of a sudden.

If he does sign a new contract, can the mods just delete the past 1000 pages and we can forget anything ever happened this summer?

The photos don't prove he's staying, but it does disprove the narrative that built up the last few days about how close it was. We've been seeing articles about how a release clause was triggered or Villa would accept City's bid, Grealish has told us he wants to go or handed in a transfer request, if all that was true, why would Villa want him back in? They'd let him come in to say his good-byes then probably let him travel up to Manchester to get his medical, why bother disrupting our plans by helping build the fitness of a player that we know will leave in the next couple of days. It could still happen obviously, but I think it's a sign that it's not as cut and dry as it's made out.

Not really got in to the Olympics this year but decided to watch today and it's been brilliant! It's been a great example of what makes the Olympics so great, I just love the way the athletes get so excited for each other despite being competitors.
