villa4europe Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 it needs fixing but this really isnt the answer, its the nail in the coffin for about 14 prem teams, seems strange that only 3 (fulham, baggies and us) can see it for what it is, if we are discussing "what started the rot" in the main forum then IMO this has certainly esculated it, it will kill us you can only spend what you earn, man utd's txt alert service in vietnam is worth £2m a year, thats more than wigan's main shirt sponsor, its pure elitism say it all the time if you want to look at controlling money in football then you have to control the huge sums dished out in the CL, but that same cash lines UEFAs pockets so it will never happen, £40m just for turning up FFS, my answer would be that a % of prize money has to be distributed across the country at youth / grass rooots level, even if it was as low as 10% st george's park would have been paid for by our CL teams in 1 season Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
