I bought Julian the Ditherer a sheild last night, so now he's got a bit more than two planks tacked together

Hello Tea, may I introduce you to Mr Laptop screen?!

Hilarious Bicks! I had to make Ju a few items as well, ie some chest armor, some shoulders and a pair of gloves. I think he was still running round in the gear you start with in Valley of Trials, which is a bit like forgetting your kit in sixth form, and doing games in your vest and pants!!

Still, I bet it won't take him until L40 to realise that you can search for stuff in the AH by pressing, er, "search", eh Daniel?!

Wonderful feature that is! I tried that search a few times but as "no items" kept coming up I assumed it was for something else, I knew it was there though! I think if you search "dagger" you get no results because thats not actually in the name of the blade.

All you have to do is search by types of weapon, eg axe, one handed etc. You can also put a minimum level in.

One of the best things is that since the patch before the last one, you can now search by armor type, eg "of the owl" or (my fave stuff) "of the gorilla."

Ah thanks for that Rev, and thanks for that also Risso.

Since the patch it also remember how long you want to put the item in for as well, which is useful. The worst thing about the patch is the stupid splash screen you get when you start it up.

Me and Rev joined up with a guy last night who was a lvl 52 Warrior BUT he also had a lvl 60 Shamen and lvl 60 Priest! Now that is someone who really does have too much spare time and no life. I feel like a real social animal again now. 8)

He also pointed out that Warriors are not the greatest in PvP against casters...No Shit Sherlock! Hadnt worked that out in Battlegrounds then! :winkold:

Actually he was a top bloke and had the most amazing memory for quests etc.

I think you probably knew how to play Warrior more than he did, he seemed to be less focussed on the role than you are. Easy to do with a 60 shammy and a 60 priest, no doubt. But he was a top bloke, and totally insane.

Just after you logged, one of the lads from the guild shouted out that there was a level 60 Paladin near Orgrimmar, so i went round with the lad from the guild, we saw he was duelling a couple of our level 60s. Still, the shout came out that one of their lot was on our turf, and about 10 level 60 horde players, and loads more in the 40s and 50s came down too.

Im happy that i managed to get both a Soul Fire and a Shadowbolt off before Mr Paladin kicked the bucket, but ive never seen a high level pussy bubbler dropped so quickly. Obviously we got called "n00bz" by the bloke he was duelling, but i say if you want to duel Ally, do it outside Ironforge. See what happens then. (or at the very least, do it further than 20 seconds ride from the gates of our capital city!)

Anyway, a mod that i wouldnt be without: Spell Alert

Was doing some homing robot q in Feral Scar, which involved killing yetis. Worked my way through a few, when one dropped a purple ring! I'm now very much better off than I was an hour ago, thank you very much!

Dan, it's well worth doing a few BG's this evening. As well as the HK's, which gets you nice rewards, every time an ally dies they drop a marker. For every three you turn in to the Horde battlemaster, you get 2250 XP.

I had 15 of them, and hadn't even bothered picking loads up as I didn't know what they were for!!

That q pisses me off - I can't solo 3 level 46s, and soloing is what it is, that robotic chicken gives me **** all help. Nive to know if I'd pursued it for longer I'd have had your drop though! Lucky git.

Escort Quests: Need group.

There are ones in Tanaris and The Hinterlands too. In Ferelas and Tanaris, i just went to the chicken, got the 4400 XP for that, and left it. In Tanaris, you will meet Ally who will only be too happy to kill you while you are on the Escort. The one in The Hinterlands is a lot easier to do.

There are other, non chicken escort quests throughout the game too. Ive usually found myself doing them in a group.

Nayson helped me take my low level Mage alt (Heelfaction) through RFC last night. Must say even at this low lvl some of the abilities the Mage have are quite astonishing. I did a couple of quite difficult quests last night solo as I was able to exploit Polymorph and Frost blast (thats the one that freezes things to the spot) and some of the fireball damage is quite excessive for a lvl 13 :winkold:

I'll probably play him now and again until the Warrior hits 60 and then try and get him to 60 too (another 6 months lost then  )

Im still not 100% on what i want as an alt.

Rogue is still looking fave. After a caster, a melee class would be a nice change, and Rogues seem to have the answers to most of the problems that the game throws at them. But am i only seeing the Rogue in a powerful light, because i have played through most of the game along side someone who has learned to play Rogue to an excellent standard?

Good point, I actually think you should try a Shamen as I believe the mixture of style would suit you and it would be nice to have a little bit of armour. Just my opinion. Shamen appealed to me but I wanted a pure caster as a good counter to my melee char.

Dunno if I could have an alt that couldn't stealth/vanish. The one thing I hate as a rogue is I'm powerless when they run away. I can't do any damage from a distance unless they have a tiny bit of health left which the crossbow will see to.

I can't see myself starting over once I hit 60, then again, I said a few weeks ago I was going to quit, and I didn't.

I reckon I will level the Mage much quicker than I did before. Having a high lvl alt on the same server has massive advantages due to money and connections with players you have quested with before (case in question last night asking Nayson to help me with RFC).

Plus, its such a big game that one character does not do it justice and I'm still determined to get my Alliance (spit) character up to a reasonable level.

I don't want an alt yet, as I feel I'm still getting to grips with my shammy's character, which I think is coming along nicely. I still don't think we're overpowered, certainly not at this level, we're just quite good at a lot of things, and very handy to have in groups.

That said, I did feel a bit overpowered in the BG yesterday. I was one on one with a L43 Hunter, and my earth shock crit for over 600, and then my flurry axe, wind fury, and windfury totem all proc'd within seconds, it was like bang-bang-bang-bang-bang, 112-90-70-100-82 sort of thing, and he was dead as a nail in secs. But then I remember all the times I've been stunned, feared and sheeped, and I think we're no better or worse than anyone else!

Paladins though, need a big **** whack with the nerf stick, you just can't touch those bastards!
