£3m is loose change to our owners. Also, west ham have the Pornodwarf, wolfman and Brady factors so its a no brainer for me.....and please take the dogheads and dirty Leeds down too.

What’s best for the club? Money or west ham going down? The only logical answer here is money.

hmmm. i kinda see them as a bit of a bogey team these days. logically it could be good if we were in different leagues to our bogey teams

Aren't succesful? Look I despise them as a club but remind when we last won the FA cup? They have a net worth around 100 mil more than us and have recently played European football, they also play in a 60,000 capacity staduim. History is great I love our history but it only goes so far, we can only dine out on it for so long. These are the type of clubs we need to overtake.

Not really. A couple of decent seasons where they got a lot of luck and had players playing out of their skin doesn't eliminate a entire history of complete tinpotness

Hammers are fine as a club but i think they will be much better next year if they manage to stay up, they will aim to finish around the same place as us. If they relegate there is a couple of players i would pick up from them, even to bolster the bench. 3 mil in the short term for us won't do much but a rejuvenated west ham, possibly under new management and with money to spend, will be more of a threat to our ambitions

What are you going on about? That is totally nonsensical!

4th biggest club in London, probably 6th most supported team and have no history and were handed a stadium. In last 20 years they have probably just outperformed Fulham

Have a trophy cabinet slightly bigger than birmingham city

Didn't one of them just die?

Nah that's sullivan but they're difficult to tell apart 🤣

Gold owned Ann Summers though, right? It's a den of sleaze at West Ham (not that I'm always dead set against such things).

West Ham won't be going down.

They'll stay up comfortably. Not only that, but next season they will be looking to break that top 7 again so they are about as rival a club as its possible to get.

Their London base makes them an attractive proposition for players and their stadium is 50% bigger than ours. (Not in the same class of course)

It's a no brainer that it'd be far better for us for West Ham to go down than for us to get a measly 3m quid but they won't be going anywhere. Sadly.

So we're they just overachieving last year, or is it something else? I don't really follow them.

Combination of few injuries, a team of mostly average players in the form of their lives supplemented by 3-4 good to very good players, a fair bit of luck and a counter attacking style that played to their strength. Now the injuries have started, teams have figured them out and the average players have reverted to type. Although sadly I don't think they're relegation bad so are now underachieving. Probably should be about 12-14th.

RE: bogey teams, that's a load of superstitious nonsense. There might be differences in play style that mean we don't match up well but a competent manager will recognise that and reduce or eliminate it.

I work with a lot of ex Man United players and a couple of them have said the same thing when I asked how they always beat us at Villa Park.

They said Fergies team talk was just "we never lose here". That's it. And boy did it work.
