Week 10 - Rex Bowles a strike

Vikings safety Antone Exum Jr. tackled a fan who ran on the field in a Vikings game. The fan was wearing all gray. Or was it all red or all green?

Anyway, fans should never run onto the field, but for best results, they should do it when the Saints defense is around. The Saints defenders will all take bad angles or run the wrong way chasing other imaginary fans except Brandon Browner, who will grab your shirt and let you keep going, and Jairus Byrd, who will get injured.

The question is what should the rule be?

You make it two feet/one elbow/etc. with possession = catch, you're going to have a lot more fumbles and lot more injured defenders (and eventually a lot less passing).

There's never going to be an objective rule that makes people happy. The league has been trying for a decade or so, and this is where it's gotten us. I think there's a lot of merit to just having a purposely vague rule and making catch/no-catch non-reviewable.

We've been taking odd timeouts at odd times all season, it's nothing new really.

The timeout in that series of plays was fine. The clock was dead as Harris went out of bounds. Made sense to use one to talk things over. Throwing on first down was dumb though.

Well you start with common sense and work from there. He secured it and turned. Even within the NFL's own definition of a football manoeuvre that's a catch.

Not a catch and fumble apparently.

I hate the NFL. Such bullshit.

Total bullshit, and exactly what I'm talking about. They are dissecting down the natural flow of the game to a point where it becomes unwatchable. Everyone on the field and in the stands knew that was a catch and fumble, but hold on, THE NFL has a different idea.

This definitely needs to be the rule. It's very simple and basically black and white.
