i think ozil is getting the attention for his performance dropping but cazorla is getting a bit of an easy ride, cant remember the last time i saw him put in a really good performance

im not sure if its because they have the 2 goal lead but bayern seem to be over playing it at times, too many touches, especially in the final 3rd, thought the big selling point of bayern last year was that they'd taken what barca / spain had done and made it more direct, no so much tonight, get in the box, go wide, do a dance, lose the ball, rinse and repeat

Be interesting to watch spurs v arsenal at the weekend . Spurs seem a collection of players at odds with the manager and arsenal will be flat and out on their feet after the CL exit. Ultimately Wenger has failed again , Sherwood a fledgling manager has slagged his players off in public so no idea how they'll perform for him.

Sherwood has really sabotaged his career by doing that. He was lucky to be given the job in the first place, IMO. He'll be sacked no later than season's end. He's going to have to start over in Division 1 managing Bristol Rovers or whoever...

Not far off mate, reckons Swindon here.

Sherwood is widely expected to make way for Louis van Gaal when the ex-Barcelona coach quits his job as Holland boss after the World Cup.

And Starsport understands Swindon chairman Lee Power, who is a close friend of Sherwood, wants his pal to join him at the Wiltshire club.

It would be a huge step down for Sherwood, who was surprisingly given his first job as a coach by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in December, following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.

Sherwood has close links with Power, the former Norwich forward who previously spent time on the boards of Cambridge and Rushden & Diamonds.

It was Sherwood’s friendship with Power that led to five Spurs players being sent on loan to the League One club last season - the maximum allowed under Football League regulations.

The Robins’ current manager is Mark Cooper.

But it is understood Power is keen on the idea of employing Sherwood along with his assistants Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey, who made 122 appearances for Swindon between 1984-7.

Sherwood laid into his players on Saturday following their 4-0 drubbing at Chelsea.

He described them as gutless and also had a dig at Levy for failing to back him publicly, while speculation mounts over his long-term future.

Sherwood was never qualified for a PL job. How many managers go straight into PL management and succeed ? Can't think of any. You need to earn your stripes and gain managerial experience at a lower level and progress from there . Same happened to Stuart Pearce, Paul Ince, Bryan Robson.

Mark Robbins is a good example of a potential PL manager as a work in progress.

Bayern might be in trouble regarding this Banner at Mesut Ozil

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2578654/Bayern-Munich-fans-dig-Germany-star-Mesut-Ozil-controversial-Gay-Gunners-banner-Euro-tie.html

Bayern Munich could find themselves in trouble with UEFA after a small section of supporters unveiled a homophobic banner before the second leg of their Champions League clash with Arsenal.

The banner, which featured the words 'Gay Gunners' and an animation of midfielder Mesut Ozil in front of the club's signature cannon, was unfurled ahead of kick-off at the Allianz Arena.

Despite his position as a regular member of Joachim Low's Germany squad, Ozil's recent form for Arsene Wenger's side has been in questioned in his home country as fans and the media look ahead to this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Haven't they been hammered in the important games though against their peers

Every game counts for the same number of points. Their peers are really everton Man U, Liverpool and maybe arsenal, because city and Chelsea were never near spurs. And they beat everton and Man U, haven't played arsenal or Liverpool in the league.
