I would be careful calling 'arry' a wheeler deeler

i have been a member of villa talk for a fair bit now and im sick of these type of threads they really divide villa fans when really i think everyone is as bad as eachother on the one hand you get the fans who are completly up their own arse and need to get off their high horse just because some people are very passionate about the club and are not happy with the appointment does not give you the right to start calling them spoilt brats. yet on the other hand some people need to accept we are not a super club which has endless cash and most world class managers only look world class because they are lucky enough to have worked at clubs with mountains of money. I personally won't be thrilled if martinez is the man to take us forward i can only see him hitting top half if he is lucky.

i'm pointing out that they've hired one manager and it was a farce from start to finish. just look at all the houllier out threads and polls. If wed have stayed 9th all season (which is where we finished and thats all that matters rly) - would it be deemed a farce?? i am really dissapointed houllier had to leave because i think this season he would have had the chance to properly build the squad to his fit and i think we would have had a good season. i was always a strong supporter of him Im not a Houllier fan......but by god, the way this is going, i would have him back now

I have got a feeling that may be true. I think we will spend whatever we get in for selling players This! If we had tons of cash to spend this summer in my opinion rafa would have already been hired i think the team is going to be the weakest its been in years.

okay I can see why the board may want martinez as manager because they obviously admire moyes and the long legacy he has at everton and they believe that martinez will be able to create a long legacy at villa. but to be honest i see the best martinez will be able to achieve is no higher than 10th and its not like he is going to have a mountain of cash to spend to build a squad because if that were the case i believe rafa would already have been appointed. If martinez is the man we hire i will be very underwhelmed i will continue to support villa obviously but will start to lose faith with the board and the direction this club is going. I have always been someone to back the board and every manager we have had but my patience will begin to wear thin.

randy should give all his money to people he can trust outside the club tell them to bet on the guy he is going to hire and then he could double his money

if it is hughes then next season will we finish no higher than 8th young and downing will leave and we will probably get hangeland and maybe dempsy. It will be a pretty boring appointment if you ask me and shows how much ambition we actually have.

Ancelotti for me getting pretty decent odds on William Hill i would be interested to see what he could achieve with a club like ours. Benitez second choice although there has been some pretty bad comments about him I think he is a very good manager he did wonders with liverpool and it was down to the owners being idiots which lead to his demise I admit he did rubbish at inter but i think the english league suits him better.

still after this match performance i think we will struggle against the scum still giving away really cheap possesion and i think we can thank our lucky stars it was sheffield utd we were playing because if that were a prem team we would have lost that match but winning is still great don't get me wrong.

My problem is from what i can see is we will only get worse if we sack GH. 1) Who would we replace him with and even if we did replace him who is to say that the next manager won't have the same problem. 2) We really can't waste this month looking for a new manager we need to be looking for new players because with the right bunch of players working under GH i am confident that he can do wonders for the club . The worst thing we can do in a crisis like is panic and tht is just what everyone is doing at the moment there are still a lot of games to play in the league so lets just have a little faith that some more signings can be made and maybe we can get rid of some of the deadwood around villa who are doing nothing but creating negative vibes for everyone.

Trust me after the statement released the board have already ruled him out. As they are looking for someone with prem experience K mac has none. It wont be moyes unless piennar and rodwell get sold. I still think sven is gunna take the hotseat.

To be honest since he arrived ages ago he aint played enough games for me cuz martin never played him. However when he first joined from west ham he was more attacking minded midfielder and thought he wuld produce a fair amount of goals then MON started playing in a more holding role which IMO he at first struggled to adapt to which led him to sit on the sidelines for a long time and the bust up with MON didn't help! Now after watching him playing a few games i still think he can be a bit sloppy at times however he also can be a good player. So in conclusion i dont love or hate him if we are able to bring some faces in i would rather replace him with someone else and sell him on but i wouldn't complain if he stayed in the team.

im just dreading whats going to happen after sunday if kevin macdonald gets the job i will cry. He has obviously shown he is really not cut out for the job i would love him to stay at villa as a coach but not a manager i just want a manager with lots of experience koeman will do anyone.

Modern Day Football is too unpredictable to make an assumption like that. Anything could happen even in the next ten years the whole face of the premier league could change maybe one day oil wealthy men will own every team in the league then it would be a level playing field its very unlikely but just one thing tht could happen.

i know yeah wouldnt like him however you know tht squad disapline would not be an issue plenty of squad grilling on the pitch at half time
