  1. Thankyou for posting, Wiener....hopefully it helps calm peoples anger 8)
  2. UEAFA will do something, and i dont think we have to make a complaint for them to do so. It will be in the referees report, and when UEAFA recieve that, they well make a judgement. If it were English fans, there would be hell to pay, and Blatter will be on TV denouncing evrything english as the spawn of the devil. However much we know this, it does not mean anything in this episode. In fact, i bet our reaction will be watched very closely by Blatter and his cronies, so its important that all thought of revenge remains just a thought. If you love Villa, next Thursday will be a peaceful night, though i fear some sort of incident will occur.....sadly.
  3. Thing is, any new manager will want to quickly assess the squad before bring someone in. Not long left in the window, so we need to act quickly and decisively. Has anyone else thought, that part of the reason we seem to be giving everyone a chance, is to allow our yet unamed manager, a chance to do that assessing?
  4. Thought Bannon put in a good shift. Creative and industrious throughout the first half. Not so good second half, but i think thats because Macca thought our midfield was not covering our back four, so told them to sit a little deeper. He just needs to work on that body strength.
  5. I think there is one positive out of this. The reaction and desire of our Manager and players, to hand out an on field hammering next week. Expect our strongest side 8)
  6. A draw and an away goal in Europe. We would have took that before the game, so putting aside some average defending, im quite happy!
  7. Spoke to loads of Rapid fans last season. In Austria, they have a very bad reputation. Police there treat them like ours treat Millwall, so tonights episodes do not suprise me, sadly. But please refrain from labeling them all with the same tag. Most whom will be coming to VP next week will be decent, passionate supporters and not thugs. On a night when Small heath are at home and the eyes of UEAFA on us, the last thing we need is, for some of us, to want payback.
  8. Time for Big Ron...... Cant think of a better ambassador for the club, and knows how to handle the Media.
  9. Dressed in a WWII Italian Black shirt officers uniform, which i think would suit him
  10. Maybe those negative tactics are for the level hes managing? A bigger club with better players may see a move away from that. I like McCleish, i think hes a class act.
  11. That's the budget for Carson's fur coats Give him a sled and a few Huskies, and he would look like Nanu of the North
  12. No thanks. I did give it a quick think, and then recalled how he wasted millions of quid on acheiving a relegation place. Then i remmember his smug interviews and Boro fans turned on him. Then theres his tenure with England, and how most of squad thought he was a numpty. Holland is different to England, its why a lot of Dutch players would prefer to play in the Prem, its a better test. If ts not Macca, then we have to have the best available, and the only stand out name is Jol.
  13. Dont be concerned. Its not as if he will be doing the chasing or haggling. He will have an idea what we need, and he will give that name to Randy and Paul Faulkner, whilst he concentrates on team matters. As for the only deal being negotiated, well it was at the time. Does not mean that they have not moved on to their next target now the deal has been done. I foresee one more arrival.
  14. Ah, thats the question Wiggy...none of us do for sure. We can only go on what MM or the press tell us, and summise on whom is available right now. Who knows, Randy may have planned for life without Martin, and have someone lined up? Who knows!
  15. Terry, Call it a gut feeling mate, and yes....if we had lost against West Ham, i would still have the same view. Out of all the candidates, its only Jol that stands out, and hes under contract ( though with a 10m buy out clause). If its not Macca, then like you, i want the best possible person to lead us, but i cant see us buying out his contract. So im prepared to wait. In three monthes time, who knows whom is available? The overwhelming majority of the players are happy for Macca to carry on, and he has one advantage over the others, because he knows the players inside out. Rushing just to appoint a name, does not always work.
  16. Again, I'd love to know why we have suddenly become so unambitious. No rush ?? - why not ? Not relegation material - is that the limit of our ambition at the moment ? We can't afford this mentality - we need to be desparately trying to move on, not suddenly accepting 'transition years' and 'no rush'. Whats got into everybody ?? :? Im with you on this. But i still think Macca is the one 8)
  17. Manure, Chelsea, Newcastle for me, in no particular order. Though Man City are doing their best to break into my little hate list. Dont hate Blues as a football club, just the chavs that follow them, so could not put them in the list.
  18. I think at half time, thats the most furious ive ever seen Redknob. He looked like he was seething! Would not of liked being the left back or centre back in that dressing room. They will ease through now, but they will count their lucky stars that Bernes finishing during the second half, could not match it during the first half.
  19. Thats easily fixed. If the oposition score four, we score five
