I dont think its Macca that will get the job. I say this because it would explain why we did nothing in this window. This inactivity also indicates that they are not even close to an appointment. Just step back and think about it. Any new manager will want time to assess the squad before deciding where he wants to strengthen. Different managers have different opinions on players and formations, just like we do here, on VT. There will be enough time between his appointment and January to do just that, where i expect he will be supported in the window. I also suggest that the person we recruit will have some knowledge of the european market, since if we are going to strengthen in Janauary, then that little facet will be very important. Im not happy, but im not going to get my knickers in a twist just yet, because i cant see Randy being stupid enough to set the scene for an empty ground.

General, Its been noted elsewhere that a certain Mr Keith Harris was sitting next to Randy last Sunday. Since Mr Harris deals in the aquisitions and sale of Football clubs, and also operates out of New York, it got me thinking. It certainly seems that Randy is trawling back his investment in the club, if rumours are to believed. I guess its something he would do, if he were were ready to sell up? I really dont mind one way or the other, since im grateful to Randy for what hes done and know he does have the clubs interests at heart. But i think we all know that for us to achieve the goals set by yourselves when you took over, extra investment is needed. To cut things short General, is there any significance in Keith Harris being there on Sunday, or is it complete bullshine?

Im glad some on here talk some blooming sense!! Im with you. If its macca then im %100 behind him. It will proberly take him 10 or more games to get into it properly, and WILL make mistakes, but i wont be hanging him. If it goes pear shaped, then i will be asking Randy why it has, and not the only genuine guy left at Villa. If it is Macca, then can we expect some new coaching appointments?
