  1. To be fair, Football is dying on its feet, and the economic climate in the country is beginning to bite home, It will get worse, and for quite a few clubs. Incidently, spent a little time drinking with you guys after the game yesterday. Top fans, and very friendly......better than the scandinavians from across Stanley Park by a mile :winkold: 8)
  2. Im not going to slag Hutton off for yesterdays terrible debut. And, honestly, it was dire. I just think that his lack of Premiership games over the last few months actually showed. His positioning was awful, and failed to close down players effectively. This should improve with games, and i will wait until he has played a few more before passing judgement. Besides, the whole side was poor yesterday, with the acception of three.
  3. Just back, and im a little pissed. Great day out, Everton fans were great in their locals. Wore my villa shirt after the game in a few of their pubs, and not a problem. Good and proper fans. Pussy in Liverpool is just unbelievable. One of my fave away fixtures. Wont say much about the game, since the view we had was shite. Fair result though. Petrovs goal was specail.
  4. GET UP YOU LAZY GITS!!!!!! WE HAVE A MATCH TO GO TO!!! The rounds on you M'Lord 8)
  5. That's the player we've bought , though. We may expect him to elevate his game now that he's in a better team but we've bought an inconsistent player. Ask any Wigan fan and they'll confirm this ( all 5 of them ). I'm sure he'll settle and show good form as the season progresses, but it's not fair to him to have the burden of replacing Young or Downing or both of them, as he's never shown he's on their level yet, contrary to some posters' views. Let's hope he will be someday. Imagine the player we will have on our hands if we could it him to 4 games out of every five!! Thats why we have bought him, and the fact the Mcleish thinks he can get that consistency out of him. The least we can do as fans, is to show a little patience with that task!!
  6. Thats possibly because Randy has sacked her, due to her high minimum wage :winkold:
  7. Dont know why people are so suprised with his form, since he has always been a player that has one or two good games in every five. When he is good though, hes very good. It will be game number five tomorrow, and i predict that you, and many others will be on this thread singing your praises. Feel free to bring this up tomorrow, if im wrong :winkold:
  8. You can not sustain that level of spending even if you get into the champions league. Ask Spurs and Everton :winkold: You have to spend bigger to just to try and stay in there.
  9. So, your advice is, dont ask him? I might give it a go....then leg it!!!!
  10. In a word, yes. Not propaganda. Heared it from two others whom frequent Bodymoor regularly. As i said in another post. The man has a weird and complex dispostion. Have even heared him being described as as "control freak" from one legend.
  11. We do have Clarke, whom i think will stake a massive claim as the season progresses. That other lad Baker, looks the bees knees aswell. Pity hes injured. Yeah Bakere looks decent, but will they get in front of Cuellare or Collinse? Givene is doing well in goal. You really hate that, dont you? Dont know why i do it, just happens

  13. Before i take any more egg, the wazack in me still says he looks a little slow  Maybe not in a sprint, but his reactions. (Well said CNT, dig yourself in deeper )
  14. I still don't understand this. He **** us over big time and did a shit job with the resources he had. You'd think after all that money we'd have been able to achieve a little better than 6th place. We didn't do badly, but as I said, should've done a lot better with the money. Best thing you could say about MoN, is that he is a complex and weird person. His signings sometimes reflected that
  15. It ran deeper than that, even involving the coaching staff, and i have that from two prominent villains :winkold: I dare say, others on here have heard similar.
  16. He's really not though. He really is though :winkold:
  17. Hes bloody slow aswell. But at this moment in time, we have no other choice but to play him, and to be fair, hes there on merit.
  18. Yeah, imagine the type of horse shit he was telling the squad, if we go on his Liverpool AND Man City performances. Oneil wanted to be at the club, Houllier gave everyone, including the players, the impression he was only there for the Money, whilst using us a stepping stone back into the English Game. And why did Martin walk? And the reason for that has not changed.
  19. Reminds me of those heroic photos of Terry Butcher with his head bandaged. Iconic.
  20. Well, we keep going on about MoN, so i guess this Houllier thing will just continue.
  21. Still looks leggy though :winkold: But, yes, he was a colossus this afternoon. 8)
  22. I think the nickname "sniffer Bent" would suit him. Hes a goalscorer, and nothing else. You cant compare him to anybody since Dion. Dion being the nearest to him. Well since the early to mid eighties anyway.
