I'd say rest Given and Gabby. Nathan can score (sometimes), it's a great chance for the likes of N'Zogbia and Ireland to step up and prove they were worthwhile signings.

I don't understand. The club didn't interview McLaren because of the fans. Yet they interview McLeish, who we hate more. They didn't interview Hughes, because of the way he left his ex club. Yet McLeish did the same.

I don't get why we didn't get McLaren because of 'fan power' and now all of a sudden we're getting McLeish, when we hate him more than the former. Who would take another season of Houllier/McAllister right now?

I've given up listening to the likes of Sky and even the BBC. They report news well, but then gossip so much, a lot of it is completely bullsh*t. I don't believe McLeish will get the job despite what people think. Until AVFC report something properly, there's no point getting worked up.

I think I'd prefer an apology most of the players, especially A Young, for once again making this club look ridiculous. I predict a bad summer for us like Milnergate, so an apology and a promise will do nicely.

I wrote this season off months ago. We have no manager now, team that let in way too many goals in the last 30 mins. Bring on August.

This game sums up a very poor season. We tried, and failed. If we are with Birmingham at the end of the season, West Ham are above us and we all have nPower Championship on tickets next season, then something has to change. It's usually the manager, but I think the entire squad needs a freshen up. We have an average defense who have poor reserves, and they let it far too many goals in. Strictly speaking, we have a very good midfield, but last season, we had Young/Downing and Milner to cross in, but now we go through the midfield, and it's crap. Gabby/Bent are too inconsistent, as is Delfouneso, and I've scored more goals than Heskey has.

Much better, several near heart attack moments in the second half, but a very strong defence, and a rapid midfield really helped us. Carry on this on at Wigan please?!

You can't blame Houllier, it's the players that aren't playing or aren't good enough. He can only work with the players he has, and hasn't had chance to replace them yet. He's brought in the youngsters, and some seem to be doing well. I blame Lerner for the stupid sell to buy policy that should only work with Blue Square North teams, MON for leaving the club with so much upset, and players that we can't sell on for any money, James Milner for making this club look completely stupid, and then fans who have so much doubt in this team.

Why do we always concede in the last 5-10 mins of the game? Disappointing to say the least.
