  1. Mcleish's perfect striker, one who doesn't use his feet!
  2. There's a story on the OS today about it, clearly an attempt to get fans on side clicky
  3. This is the first home game I've not been able to make it to because I've got to go to a wedding. I think we'll lose two nil but we should also be okay for relegation because I reckon we'll pick up at least a point at Norwich. Looking forward to the trip to Carrow Road to hopefully close the Mcleish chapter in the club's history. Against Spuds, I would go: -------------Given--------------- Lichaj Cuellar Dunne Warnock Nzog Herd Ireland Carruthers -------Weimann--Heskey-------
  4. He started every league game he was available for under GH except for one (West Ham away)... he missed a few for suspension and didnt he pick upa little niggle and miss a couple? Aside from the 3 match ban he received for his red card against Blackpool he started every game under Houllier's supervision, except the West Ham away game. Here are the full facts of Makoun's unhappy stay with Villa last season. It's just laughable that, on the basis of this, people are assuming his return would transform he midfield. Man C H - Did not start Wigan A - subbed off after 57 mins BOOKED Blackburn H - Did not start Man U H - Full game Fulham - Full game BOOKED Blackpool A - SENT OFF Blackburn H - SUSPENDED Man C A - SUSPENDED Bolton A - SUSPENDED Wolves H - Full game Everton A - Full game BOOKED Newcastle H - Subbed off West Ham H - Sub not used Stoke A - Sub not used WBA A - - thigh injury Wigan H - thigh injury Arsenal A - Fit, not selected Liverpool H - Calf injury It's good you have such a history but forget to mention he was unavailable for the last two games as his family had suffered a car accident in Cameroon. I think the bottom line is he has not played enough games to be written off, or do we know he will be the answer, he is a very good player. Also Cabaye, did not hit the ground running took him about 5-7 games to get used to it. Plus he didn't have clearance to play in either the Man City or the Blackburn games which have been listed there. So really there were two matches (WHU and Stoke) where he wasn't selected to start.
  5. Will be even funnier when Chelsea beat them in the FA cup final!

  7. They originally said the allocation was 2450, now they are saying 'around 2400 are expected to head down', despite it being sold out and with 'extra' tickets to go on sale
  8. He started every league game he was available for under GH except for one (West Ham away)...
  9. Poor Chris. It's not fair that he was ruled out just because of McLeish's bad hand-writing. Can we just get on to page 50? I've had a page to forget
  10. I'm making a new topic because I thought people might miss it if this was posted in the 'looking for spare tickets' thread, mods please move this though if you disagree. click
  11. It won't be cheaper on the day, it will most probably be more expensive so I'd book it if I were you. I get the train out to Witton from NS yep, but you could go to Aston too, it's just a slightly longer walk to the ground.
  12. What about his work rate in an unfamiliar role of late though? I don't like to think how the mood would be on here had he not made that goalline clearance against Sunderland and we were sat on 36 points. very much deserved and I hope he starts every game next season.
  13. pretty sure there was a team on one of the old pro evo games called West Midlands Village
  14. Marylebone to Moor Street is usually super cheap but it isn't far enough in advance to get the cheapest ones. 25 quid return (without a railcard) at the moment.
  15. Don't think Herd was legible for young player.
  16. Don't think Herd was legible for young player.
  17. that Delap can throw a ball far can't he?
  18. What was you gonna say? Schalke null vier But they are from the Schalke district of Gelsenkirchen
  19. Yeah looks good, was trying to fit Weimann into the team hence the 4-4-2.
  20. Seeing the Makoun, Bent and Lambert threads nestling amongst the Mcleish and relegation threads at the top of the forum gives me a little bit of hope for next season.
  21. but he left Weimann on the bench on saturday?! Mcleish 'convinced' there is a mystery goalscorer somewhere in our dressing room who will keep us up.
