At least Joyce has painting to fall back on, - pun unintended-. That first loss seems to have crushed him mentally, he looked tentative from the first minute and his opponent sensed it immediately. Great stoppage from the referee though.

Yep he looked done before it started, putting on nearly 2 stone was clearly a mistake aswell.

After finding out who Zhang was after watching him unfairly lose to some Croatian bloke he’s become one of my favourites at the moment. he’s a big lump who looks like he has a chin and has great power. He’s a better boxer than given credit but would surely get found out if some movement was put in front of him.

Genuine question, is anything working well at the moment?

    Schools, no

    Police, no

    Hospitals, no

    GP’s, no

    Prisons, no

    Council’s, no

    Social care, no

    Roads, no

All roads lead to funding cuts from the government.

Was just about to ask the question if there was anything not broken.

Unsurprisingly the moto of if were rich it will help you doesn’t work. It’s not even the moto anymore it’s the money is better in my pocket than yours.

Even more surprisingly to them if you cut the youth centres, cut the schools, cut the aid, cut the housing, cut the police, cut the prisons you get more social issues.

If you cut the hospitals, cut the social work, make homes and hospices so expensive they bankrupt you get back logs and lowering standards of care.

All of these have lined someone pocket in the cutting phase, they line someone’s pocket in the fixing phase bringing in private companies to sort it or in most cases don’t do anything or not up to the task.

The mess they left in the 80s and again now is irreversible, only stopping it getting worse unless all parties band together for the good for 20 years and the Tories on the sideline. That won’t happen.

I’d rather have them just calling out incorrect decisions. You don’t need to send the ref to a screen on a marginal call; the VAR is already a ref, after all!

Separate issue is the interpretation of the laws of the game - which shouldn’t be a thing, but is.

It has to be one or the other for me. VAR was so successfully implemented at the 2018 World Cup as they just sent the ref to the screen every time.

If it’s about letting the on field ref manage the game and potentially still make some mistakes even after reviewing then fine.

If it’s about correct decisions then VAR should just over rule and be done with it. This way seems to be seen by the ref fraternity as heresy.

  4. I love the chaos, the money had been spent by the glazers on the playing squad so I don’t get the hate there, it’s purely because they aren’t winning.

However they have fallen behind in the infrastructure at the club, the culture from the top is clearly not there and the players know it. Players on massive wages who can’t be forced out.

Long may it continue but hopefully it doesn’t have to be beating up women that causes it all.

  5. A smart window, sold players, bought some great ones. hopefully we can get Sanson off the books in the next. I think due to his wages Digne is only a matter of time.

If we keep signing players like Tielemans, Torres, Diaby and Zaniolo then we will be great.

I think we’ve spent about £100m net in the last 3 summers. Should have funds left for the next Torres and Diaby level players that we want.

Guimares and Williams may still be targets.

Yep agree, that was an assessment at half time, a disciplined performance and some good flashes of skill in the second.

When he scored I didn’t know he was playing

  7. It seems like we are going for players ready and experienced now. I don’t like the links with Acuna being 31 I was hoping Monchi would get us some 18-23  unknown wonder kids aswell.

I think we will sign players but no idea if that will be big money, what positions, how old or unknown players.

We probably need 3 a cb to cover mings/rb a attacking mid to cover Buendia and another winger/forward to hopefully replace Coutinho.

Michael Keane 😂😂😂😂 no way is that guy a premier league footballer

My mate had him to get a red at 51-1 he probably should have got it as well. I had Pickford to get a yellow at 16-1 😎

I'm very unsure he's going to cut it at PL level. Think he will be one of those players great in the Championship but not quite good though for PL. Early days though. Doesn't seem to have enough about his game imo.

He’s not a winger, get him around the box and he’ll score goals.

Has he got what it takes to carry out what Unai is asking him to do is the question. Coutinho came on instead of him and looked bright. He’s injured now so maybe he will get another chance? I think we’ll sell him.

  10. I’m all for time wasting it’s part of the game and a mechanism for helping to even the field against the better teams.

You do it at amateur level no one but the top teams and refs care unless it’s in their favour.

The issue has always been with too little time added on for injuries and subs not for gamesmanship time wasting.

I get so angry when I see those bastard scroungers on that prison boat getting a choice of cereals.

A price point has been set and has given maximum profit to the share holders. Until the government step in it won’t go down.

This government being “pro business” and the conservative ethos of trickle down economics I don’t see these prices going anywhere.

But yes please stop the boats 😡

I actually think they suit the way moyes plays and will probably do alright there.

Sounds like the director of football and Moyes are massively out of sync. They may suit Moyes but not whoever they bring in next. Moyes probably wont see out the season. Id take Bowen and Paqueta (who we dont need) from them if they get into proper trouble.

  13. I think Unai knows Watkins needs to feel confident to play well, he showed his faith in him by getting rid of Ings and I think hes played him alot in pre season hoping hed get goals and then hit the ground running.
