    The Holte looks magnificent there

There is a reason it’s not a picture of the north stand.

I love villa park but the north needs to go if we stay and I think the cancellation points towards leaving.

Other than the north the biggest thing for me is sorting out the acoustics which probably means the roof of each stand. You can sit in the other stands and people in the holte will say it was loud and you can hardly hear them.

So he's missed the whole season along with Mings and Buendia.

And Kamara missing half of this season and half of next season.

Has any other team actually had worse long-term injuries than Villa this season?

Man United, Liverpool and Newcastle according to the press. I think Newcastle and maybe Chelsea have players out for long periods. The rest are just niggles.

  3. The wall issue won’t change my opinion on him but it reinforces what I’ve seen from him regarding his general smart play.

Other than that I do think he has quality and has played his part this season.

Would sign him for £5-10 million as a bargain and a risk not the £30 mil that has been agreed.

    Thank but no thanks.

  4. I really like him, he’s got quality. He’s more similar to Ramsey than Bailey.

That was essentially our back up choices in the top 4 so more than happy with his part in it.

For right wing I'd have both Bowen and Palmer ahead of Foden. Starting to think Foden is a system player, does little to nothing for England.

I dont think hes a system player but you do have to actually pass to him and make space for him. Southgate loves Kane because he drops in giving another body in the midfield but also allows the wingers to be the outlet and hope the pace can unlock the other team hence why hes continually used Sterling and Rashford during his time.

The eyes rarely lie. And that just shows how "stats" can be so misleading.

Put it this way, if he was here on loan like Zanilolo, I doubt we would keep him.

I hope he can turn it around, I really do.

Completely agree, my hope is the stats show that he has the quality to do it.

He’s bordering on terrible at the moment.

Like I said, he was never as poor as Diaby has been and he was very injury prone in his first couple of seasons, but he still managed to put in some decent performances at VP.

When was the last time Diaby lit up a game? One good assist and the odd goal here and there, for 50 million, you're having a bubble.

While I agree Daiby is still up there in stats in terms of goals and assists.

But the eye test says he’s just not doing it at the moment. I hope he has that one good game that sparks him into life, maybe that needs some luck first.

Like Tim, starting and a big night. A great opportunity to show us what he can do.

Pleased for them both, hope they shine.

  9. The Rashford interview is hilarious to me. Saying he is committed to United and you shouldn’t say otherwise when his performances and actions off the pitch are the actual evidence.

Is this the 3rd time in 5 years he’s downed tools. Even in the two good periods I remember watching him thinking he was lazy and wasteful but luckily the goals came.

If I were United and PSG offer to take him I’d bite their hands off.

  10. Just watched it, I didn’t get the hype with the books but enjoyed the first film. Part of that might just be how good it looks and feels from Denis.

Thought the first hour and half is slow but it’s ends very well, looks great and Austin Butler absolutely smashes it.

Im not sure I want Messiah and especially Children of Dune I found it an absolute mess after the first book.

I can’t wait for him to retire ffs some Villa fans need to get over him. Bailey is close to matching his best season ffs.

Bailey is class now but I still don’t think he has hit Grealish level in terms of chaos caused. Happy to agree that Grealish output in stats isn’t and wasn’t always great but he was a joy to watch (as is Bailey).

It’s just sad that he isn’t playing like that anymore. Everyone loves a maverick and other than a flick against Belgium Southgate has done the same thing to him.

Would I take him back in the hope he’s still that player yes, for the money no.

That's a big if. What happens if we revert to the mean and become a mid table side again? Will all those fans keep on coming?

I think it’s a fair point. We’ve been an upward trajectory for 4 years and have been sold out or close to pretty much every game since Covid.

Ive had this conversation with spurs, Liverpool, United mates, when was the last time they had a truly shit team, one that is most likely to lose and get relegated. Try spending over £100 to get to a game to watch that and justify it every week.

We need a good team to get good attendances without you don’t have them.

I understand that hebephilia is because pubescent girls can reproduce, but paedophilia has no use in nature other than power and abuse. This is why I believe there should always be a distinction between the two.

Agree with both points, biologically its a possible driver. You then have the ones in powerful positions where it is about abuse and power. But you then have the social outcasts/people who have always been loners or bad with the opposite sex where there is an oppotunity through vulnerability to get what they potentially have never had.

Ulitmately I think you can ignore the biological driver its a society problem, it was once acceptable to wed a minor luckily times move on. The abuse mentaility of it however I dont know how we deal with that as a society.

Their goal difference alone suggests they should be nowhere near the top 6, it annoys me they are within 8 points off us, I’ve seen a lot of their games and they have been lucky in the 95% of them.

The 6 points in 6 weeks that we gifted them is what has made that difference.
