If we weren't still progressing then I'd be more worried about Emery leaving. Say we finish 4th this season but then slip back to 7th next season then yeah, I could see him maybe being tempted. But right now? Doubt it.

Based on what? It's not as if they've been hiding his injury from us. Although tbf even if Mings is back to his best it'll be tough to supplant Konsa.

Absolutely crazy that we spent a combined £20m on our 4 main central midfielders that have gotten us to the cusp of top 4, and the vast majority was spent on Luiz. Tielemans and Kamara didn't cost us a penny in transfer fees. What a bargain.

How is he so good at this? Is he just really really intelligent, like ultra genius level, or simply really really dedicated?

Even when he did get injured he still managed to score before coming off and then proceeded to miss a grand total of one game.

One word I'd use to describe this performance: professional. We went behind, but it was down to an individual error rather than the team or tactics, but we didn't panic and just methodically carried on probing. After equalising just before half-time we then came back and coolly killed them off, without ever going full throttle or really giving them much of a sniff to get back into the game.

Obviously I think we'll go for the win but even a draw wouldn't be that bad with these last two wins we've banked. 7 points from Arsenal away, Bournemouth home and Chelsea home is the upper end of what most would've expected. Indeed I think most would've been happy with 6 from those fixtures 8 days ago.

Incredible that at this stage of the season we're only 8 points off the top. Obviously we've not even been outsiders for the title for quite a while now, but it just goes to show what an amazing season this is. By this point in 2008/09 we were 5th and 22 points off top, and had 11 less points than we have now with a much inferior GD.

I know 5th almost certainly won't get CL now so it's a moot point, but if 5th was guaranteed a CL place, would anyone still be worried about Man United?

He is comfortably our most important player. He's not just world class in terms of ability but also in mentality. He's a born winner and just a huge personality that would be impossible to replace.
