So much for Emery being "stubborn". At the end of the day he's juggling so many different factors right now. With injuries and suspensions we really are down to the bare bones in certain departments.
-
Decent point. Crap first half but looked a lot better in the second.

Today was a real morale booster because it shows that Spurs are just as capable as us of randomly serving up a dreadful performance.

What a fine club Fulham are. Always there for us when we need them most.

Such an odd player. Personified Lockdown Football weirdness.
-
Wow he looks dreadful these days.

Tbh the only guaranteed wins there for United are Burnley and Sheffield United at home. Other than that they could easily slip up in many of the other games.

This thread was somehow on page 2. Just had to say what a magnificent job he's done for us. He's not even been here for 18 months and in that time he's taken us from relegation battlers to genuine top 4 contenders and into our first major European quarter final in a quarter of a century, all while dealing with one of the worst injury crises in recent memory.
-
Liverpool are probably quite likely to reach the final based on that draw which is good for us.

Watkins has been in such fine form that him withdrawing from a couple of meaningless England games due to injury shouldn't jeopardise his chances of making the Euros but because it's Southgate, it probably would. Just a ridiculous situation really.
-
People have said a few times that we were wrong to keep him and sell Archer but at the end of the day, Duran offers us something Archer (and indeed everybody else in the squad) doesn't. He's a complete wildcard which can be very useful to have in certain situations.

Job done. Just praying the injuries aren't too serious.

I still hate the new Adidas logo.
-
I would genuinely rather get thrashed 5-0 and play shit than do what Luton did tonight.
-
Honestly Luton fans must feel like shit. They came back from 2-0 down at half-time against us at home only to be denied by a late winner, then go to Bournemouth and lose after being 3-0 up themselves at half-time. They're finished.
-
Because Villa are uniquely bad and awful, it seems. Honestly defies logic.

Yes but in many cases I don't think it'll be too difficult. The only one I'd be worried about is Coutinho.
-
If we'd had had a normal injury season then yeah, I think we'd be outside bets for the title right now, and top 4 would be a certainty.
-
I do feel like we can cut the wage bill significantly this summer simply by offloading the deadwood and some good but not essential first teamers (e.g. Digne and Carlos). I mean, Dendoncker, Olsen, Carlos, Digne and Coutinho alone must be on a combined £400k+ a week surely?
