  1. Enjoyed the 1994 cup final today. I was only 5 years old at the time so it's not a game I've ever seen before. 90 minutes of my day with a beer watching some proper football. Hopefully they show the 1996 cup final next Friday.
  2. Started Tiger King yesterday and it's brilliant. Then woke up today to find the whole series of Ozark Season 3 on Netflix. Weekend sorted! Has anyone watched The English Game on Netflix yet? Any good?
  3. A film a day at the moment, taking it in turns with the other half to choose. Tuesday was Just Mercy. Really good film would recommend, Michael B. Jordan is brilliant. A bit of an eye opener. Wednesday was Onward. Standard Disney/Pixar film. An easy watch but nothing special. My turn tonight, going for A Quiet Place as I have still not seen it.
  4. @Villarocker how are you feeling today and how did you sleep last night?
  5. Only 28 deaths today... https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-uk-death-toll-reaches-435-after-rise-in-scotland-and-wales-11963431
  6. Brilliant thanks mate I hadn't seen that. That's my next one to play after Horizon Zero Dawn.
  7. @Villarocker Get well soon mate! Keep yourself hydrated even if you don't feel like it and I'm sure you'll fight it off in no time.
  8. So the official government video states: go to work (if you are a key worker)
  9. Restrictions are poor. Businesses will remain open, they haven't been told to close. There are a lot of people in this country who can't work from home. Public transport is still running, people will stick to all the restrictions then each morning jump onto a crowded bus or train. Borders remain open allowing more and more cases of the virus to come into the country.
  10. A lot of new stories are now pushing for a lockdown to be brought in as early as tomorrow. I think it’s the only way we can bring this thing to an early close, along with shutting off our borders. Two week lockdown as Italy did, the deaths there are now starting to decrease.
  11. The sad thing is it's completely believeable.
  12. I hope this gives some people in this country a wake up call. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-healthy-nhs-nurse-36-in-intensive-care-after-contracting-covid-19-11962025
  13. I can do evening for RL, I'm on Xbox but I believe it's cross platform. Don't think there will be many of us so a few games of 2v2 or 3v3?
  14. I know three people who were at Cheltenham last week and are now self isolating with symptoms. Ridiculous decision for it to go ahead.
  15. Sounds like you've pulled a chest muscle mate. I've done it many times, mostly in the gym but now and again I've woken up with it. Get yourself into a comfortable position with arms down where it's not hurting, then move your arms up and it will most likely ache. This will just confirm it's muscular. Normally goes within a few days.
  16. I'm not quite understanding why we haven't closed the borders from the world, only allowing citizens to return into 14 day isolation. As an island we are in a much stronger position than most European countries. Allow cargo to move in and out, allow citizens to return but close off the borders and stop further cases of the virus coming into the country. In a week when things ramp up call a mandatory 14 day isolation to kill the virus off. I may be wrong in what I'm saying but it seems the next logical route to me. Unfortunately it will have huge effects on the economy.
  17. Funny reading peoples comments. I went to the park today and it was full of people, it's ridiculous. I went to the shops today and it was rammed with people, it's getting out of hand. I went to the beach today, couldn't believe how many idiots were there. You were also there...
  18. I think £94 a week is fair in a normal climate, it's not enough to live off and so it motivates people to go out and find work. It's where the benefit system is broken, people who can't work should receive a fair amount to live on relatively comfortably, those who are looking for work should be helped to live and get by in between times and those who can work but choose not to should be made to scrape by. It's a system that is abused and needs looking at by the government. Right now the jobs just aren't there, so possibly they need to look at a short term increase in benefits for the unemployed to allow them to get through this period of however long the virus lasts.
  19. Going to be a fair few posts in here over the next week with a mixture of films to keep the other half happy. Last night I watched The Mustang - enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, highly recommend. This afternoon was Wreck It Ralph 2 - drifted off midway through which pretty much summed the film up for me. Shame as I enjoyed the first one.
  20. It was before so it may help, but our company are laying off staff globally. Aerospace so I guess they are aligning ready for the reduction in work over the next few months. Crossing my fingers.
  21. Redundancies announced at our place today, should know over the next few weeks. Genuinely quite worried I could be left jobless as I've only been there a few weeks. Pretty much a zero percent chance of finding other work for the foreseeable future with the way the world is going at the moment.
  22. Meant to be playing indoor 5 a side tonight, I would imagine this is a risk not worth taking? The thing is I currently work with 120 people who have all been told to attend work each day, and so 5 a side with 10 people seems like much better odds.
  23. I'm in the same boat as you mate, just got into Aerospace. I recently started as well so won't be in the best position if the redundancies kick in. Realistically though there aren't many industries that won't be effected by this. Unless you're manufacturing toilet roll, antibacterial gel, soap, paracetamol or pasta.
