Ah cheers, had no idea they had released a new one.

With all these new Marvel updates and the Star Wars announcements, it’s been a great end to the week. I’m fully onboard the hype train.

Possibly a bit too mainstream for VT (Swifty aside) as I think more than 3 people brought their last album, but the new Avalanches record is absolutely joyous.

Reckon I’m in the right place to ask this..
Went down a YouTube rabbit hole a few months ago (while drinking) and watched a video saying a senior female at Disney had basically broken the franchise (I’d agree the last trilogy was awful), but that she’d been hoofed and they were thinking about rewinding & exploring an alternative branched timeline.
Not a very detailed explanation I know, but does anyone know if that’s true, and is this new series something to do with that?
I don’t know of any senior female exec being fired, Kathleen Kennedy is still the president of Lucasfilm and she was the one copping a lot of the flak around the latest films?
The story you’re talking about regarding an alternative timeline was just some made up internet rumour, I remember reading something about it a few months ago and it was a bit bonkers to be honest.
The Obi-Wan show has been planned for quite a while (not sure, but I think it was going to be a movie at some point), it’s not a re-set or anything like that.
I’m quite surprised about Hayden Christensen coming back as Vader, I’d previously read a rumour that Darth Maul was going to be a major character in it.

@Designer1agree with every word of that post.
The last two episodes have been the best thing since the OT and the whole show has just had that ‘feel’ from the get go. It’s brilliant.

Treated myself to two episodes of Parks and Recreation last night. Only got 3 of the final season left now and I’m still not prepared for it to end

Loved it. Might need to rewatch it.
Have you watched the whole thing?

Strong first episode of Raised By Wolves.
Could be decent this I reckon.

The Sister on ITV was quite good. Not normally my kind of thing, but it was pretty well done.

Grant is getting more interesting as an actor as he ages. He was typecast as a befuddled toff for his whole career until fairly recently. He could make a good villain.
Absolutely. His performance towards the end of the final episode was pretty unnerving tbf.

The Undoing was pretty decent.
Hugh Grant was superb, especially in the final episode. Kidman’s immovable face was a bit of a distraction at times, but overall it was well worth a watch.

In light of the above post, we're still having problems identifying the following figures:
The first figures are small - about 3". The second is about 6" - don't have the exact dimensions as I haven't got them to hand. I'd assume they are 80's figures.
@Chindie @GarethRDR @Ginko @wazzap24 - any idea chaps? Thinking maybe they'e cropped up in a comic over the years? Cheers.
I've come up blank on these mate.
Had a look last night and a few google searches (even tried splitting the images and doing google image searches!)
They all ring a bell, but just cant quite place them.
I was pretty convinced the soldier looking one on the right of the 4 was one of the figures you used to get with the GI Joe/Action Force vehicles back in the day (the vehicles always came with a generic looking ‘driver’), but I looked on a site that list all the figures made during the early 80’s and nothing looked similar.

10 years old today. An absolute masterpiece from start to finish. A 21st century great.

Ordered and paid for my Walter Smith Butcher’s Xmas meat hamper yesterday. I’m set.

Not sure how many of you enjoying 'Warrior' already know this, and apologies for being the bearer of bad news if you didn't, but it has been cancelled so S2 will be the end.
I’m hoping it gets picked up elsewhere. Viewing figures are good and reviews are excellent, it’s not been cancelled as such (as in, because it’s crap/nobody is watching it), it’s just that Cinemax has shut down, so they aren’t making anymore of anything.

Truth Seekers is really awful. How do shows like this get commissioned?
(Still managed to watch four episodes so far).
I didn’t think it was that bad to be honest, but I wouldn’t say it’s ‘funny’ and seems to be trapped in between being a semi-serious paranormal drama and a comedy. It’s watchable though and the 30min runtime means it doesn’t drag on from episode to episode.
SpoilerThe bit at the end of Ep1 when that old woman turns around and runs up the stairs like a dog, full on freaked me out!!

I watched episodes 1+2 after your recommendation earlier this year but got side tracked, I liked it and will probably get back on to it but have been waiting for your thoughts on season 2 before committing to it. How is it?
It’s really good and follows on nicely from S1.
It isn’t as good as Banshee overall, but it has that same vibe and they’ve fleshed the story out a bit more this series, which is good. As @theboyangelsaid, it’s “good junk TV”.
I love it and it’s fits nicely with all the other stuff I’m watching, it’s a good one for not having to concentrate too much and you can just enjoy the action/fighting.

Watching Warrior and it's good junk tv!
Easy plot, ultra violence, dark humour and Bristol cities abound.
It’s Banshee 2.0 and it’s ace!

I’ve just started watching The Clone Wars after seeing it recommended a few posts up. I genuinely thought I’d lose interest quick but I’ve spent all morning so far watching it. After reading reviews online too it seems to only get better.
For those that have seen it, am I right in thinking Vader doesn’t appear in this as it’s set between ep 2 + 3? Also, does this series fall in line with what happens in the movies?
Clone Wars is canon, so yeah it falls in line

Parks and Rec is probably my favourite ever comedy and Ron Swanson is without doubt my favourite comedy character.

Cracking show, one of my faves of the year.
