I thought Borat 2 was quality, with plenty of laugh out loud moments and clever touches.
It doesn’t have the shock value of the first and there are only so many times you can go ‘wow, some of these Americans really are bat-s**t crazy’, but it’s still well worth a watch and Maria Bakalova is superb in it.

The official Kazakhstan twitter account is worth a look too!

I’ve tried to avoid spoilers, but apparently, the bit with Rudy Giuliani is not to be missed. -

hahahah... just noticed this post after I posted below
After the first few times, me and my Mrs were ready to knock it on the head, but I’ve managed to get through it for now!!
In totally random, but connected news - she is also the voice of Peppa Pig!

The first couple of episodes of The Haunting Of Bly Manor have been perfectly splendid.
Warrior S2 for me tonight. Can’t wait.

I’m so glad I stuck with Lovecraft Country.
I wasn’t sure at first and I’m still not sure what it actually is, but the last few episodes have been fecking brilliant.
Johnathan Majors is superb in it, more than a touch of a young Denzel Washington about him.
Cracking show

A gave up on The Third Day halfway into the 4th episode. It wasn't terrible but I just wasn't feeling it atm. Might return to it when all episodes are out but probably not as it was on a downward slope.
Just started on Warrior which is OK I guess. It's a story you've seen countless times before but in a different setting (1800's in San Francisco) based on Bruce Lee's writing so lots of stylish fighting which I find tedious. The acting is OK and it looks pretty nice but everyone is behaving and talking like modern day people which is a bit silly.
Seen comparisons to Peaky Blinders but that is IMO far off the mark as this show is no where close in any way. Still it's a 6/10 and probably more for those who like choreographed fighting.
I thought S1 of Warrior was ace.
Not sure where the Peaky Blinders comparison has come from, it’s nothing like it, other than it’s set in the past!
It’s from the same people that did Banshee and it’s way more comparable to that to be honest.
Really looking forward to S2 starting in a couple of weeks.

Is anyone watching The Third Day? It's unoriginal at times but has ambition and a certain flair.
I’m two episodes in and I think it’s pretty decent! I’m interested to see where it goes.

Conkers. On the ground in the park. Untouched.
Split a big one open and it was a guaranteed sixer. It blows my tiny, child of the 80’s mind.

Had some cracked/rough skin on the heel of my foot.
Used some foot cream and it worked, but now I can’t scratch my leg with the heel of my foot, which I quite liked doing tbh.

If 85%-90% of us get the vaccine and it works, and 10-15% of anti-Vax/KBF loons don’t take it, will the virus continue to circulate amongst them?

Some excellent work, some incredible acting, Paul Dano is right up there for me, superb talent, completely held his own in There Will Be Blood up against arguably the greatest movie actor of all time playing his greatest creation Daniel Plainview.
Yeah he was ace. I’ve not seen There Will Be Blood, but he was quality in Escape At Dannemora and he’s playing Riddler in the new Batman movie - I’m proper looking forward to that.

Good brokers (whether it be Mortgage, Car Finance or Asset finance) can be worth their weight in gold if you find a decent one.
They will often have deals you can’t find elsewhere and the best ones take the hassle away from dealing with banks/finance companies directly.
Same with everything, it’s just a case of doing your research and checking what’s put in front of you before you sign anything.

I enjoyed Greyhound but do understand the criticism of the lack of background to the main characters.
i get the feeling it was edited down to 90 mins to stream quickly on Disney+
hopefully there’ll be a directors cut with a little more to it.
enjoyable film though.
I quite enjoyed it too, but I didn’t care about any of the characters and there was too much technical, naval dialogue being shouted back and forth at times.
It’s well made though and rattled by at a right pace.- 1

I think we'll struggle to see a lot of good and bold comedy now as people are scared to offend as they might get 'cancelled'.
I dunno, I’m not sure I totally agree with that.
Without getting all political, I genuinely don’t see this ‘cancelling’ thing in comedy, apart from throbbers like Jim Davidson and Lee Hurst moaning about it. Let’s be honest, they haven’t been cancelled by some left wing, comedy conspiracy, they are just absolute shite and way past their sell by date now.
I think if the material is deliberately trying to offend a certain group of people for the sake of being offensive, then it’s doomed to fail, because it’s unlikely to be funny.
Gervais is a good example (taking into account subjective taste) of being offensive and funny. He’s not pushing an agenda, he takes on all sides - as his stand-up and Golden Globe performances have shown.

Hunters on Amazon Prime was quality.
Al Pacino was superb, the story was excellent and it was prone to a decent bit of weirdness now and again which added to the enjoyment.
Great twist towards the end and a brilliant final scene. Looking forward to season 2.

Lasted about 15 minutes of Sky Comedy’s Two Weeks To Live - just not funny in any way...
A shame really, as with a lot of their other recent original comedies, Sky have managed to attract good casts but seriously let down by poor material.
I thought the fist episode was ok, I quite liked the scene in the cafe.
I’m not expecting much, but I’m gonna stick with it for another couple of episodes.
You’re right about Sky’s original comedies though - they can be very hit and miss.
As an example, Code 404 with Stephen Graham is so offensively bad, I’d rather binge watch every episode of Mrs Brown Boys than watch another minute of it. Brassic on the other hand is fantastic and proper laugh out loud funny.
They do tend to chuck a load of money at ‘names’ and often miss the mark.

Anyone given ‘Ratched’ a go on Netflix yet?
I like Sarah Paulson and I loved One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, but Ryan Murphy’s stuff has been a bit and miss outside of American Horror. Reviews are a bit Dyatlov - not great, not terrible.

Banshee is so shit. But I have to agree with VT, it's very entertaining!
The OH and I have two favourite games while we watch it.
1. Spot the person Hood is going to have a fight with this week (and ultimately get battered but come back at the last minute and win the fight)
2. How many minutes will pass before we see a fully exposed breast (this has been less than one minute on a number of occasions)
How far in are you? Has he fought the Albino yet?
Greatest fight scene in TV history.

Agreed. The book is amazing, the film is just above average.
