  1. The new Yorke, please wise up to yourself. Lets see how The Fonz goes, I like him and I think he deserves a run in the team but thats very high expectations man!
  2. I think it's also true to say: The manager is clearly incapable, like so many managers of getting the best out of him so its probably best he moves on. How many people have to fail with Ireland before someone asks - Maybe he's just not that good? THIS! THIS! THIS! All wrapped up in a nice patterned paper with a bow on top ready for Santa to put under the tree! Maybe he isn't. It's possible, I grant you. But even in the matches he's played for us we've seen glimpses that he has ability. If he never again plays as well again as he did for Man City a couple of seasons ago then fair enough. But the key for me is that he hasn't even been given the chance to succeed in my opinion. No chance at all. Yep he has shown glimpses of that natural ability we all know he has. I do think if he'd have nicked a goal early on in his Villa career then it would have given him the spring in his step and more confidence to flourish. I really don't think we will see him do that here. I think Hou has made up he mind on Ireland and we ain't take no passengers under the new manager, which I agree with.
  3. I was a little bit excited when Ireland eventually came through as part of the Milner deal, having seen his, sometimes, great ability a few seasons ago. There was a doubt in my mind that he had only ever turned this sort of form on consistantly for one entire season. I thought however, the lad has great ability. I knew about his off field doubt if you like, the Ireland (national team) situation, reports on his mental attitude etc but I was still hoping all during the Milner saga that Stephen Ireland would come to the Villa as part of the deal. He did. In the interview after he signed he said all the right things. However for me it was obvious that he never wanted to leave Manchester City in the first place so I though it would always take him time to settle. Unfortunately (I think for us Villa fans) I see him moving on to another club where a manager will sit him down and put an arm around him and tell him 'your my main man, I want to build a team around you'. It will be then that we see the best of him. I hope I am wrong and he does turn it around because there is, as everyone is willing to admit, a great player inside him. What I really can't fathom, and I remember telling all my mates the same time MON had left before this deal had gone through and it was him that had wanted the player. Stephen Ireland should never have remained as part of the deal because we never knew at the time whether or not the new manager (who turned out to be Hou) was going to like the player or not. We didn't even know who the manager was going to be. So who do the buck stop with, Randy or Paul Faulkner?!
  4. You didn't answer my question on the shirt. If you could when you have time I would be very interested in what you reply with.
  5. I had the same problem being from Dublin, Ireland. But I ordered my Villa away shirt today and although the free name and numbering isn't available to online orders. There is the offer of 5 pounds off your order and free worldwide delivery if your are on the Villa mailing list. This offer more thatn makes up for the lack of free name and numbering for online orders. Great offer! How does that more than make up to the free shirt printing because it is double the cost of the offer on free standard delivery.
  6. Hopefully Dunne will miss more than the Ireland game so Carlos can get a bit of a chance. He should be playing already.
  7. Agreed. I still bought it though because I would rather my money go to the club. I don't get over to matches so I get the shirts from the club each season.
  8. For those who are willing to admit they bought it, who did they get on the back of the shirt? I got Ashely Young 7 on the home (I think it may well be his last season at the club, thats the thought behind it). My mum has ordered the away shirt for a Christmas present with Albrighton 12.
  9. Haha, my new home top just arrived today. On the tags there was a sticker stating 'Launch date: July 2010', too funny Nike. Really nice shirt though. Better than it looks on TV.
  10. Haha, I am selling mine on eBay at the moment with the number 10 on the back (Dalian Atkinson)! I dunno how someone managed to order the home shirt through the online store in the last few days and got free printing because they charged me ten pounds something for my name and number!
  11. General, Two quick question and I would appreciate if you could take time at some point to reply: 1. I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I have ordered the new home shirt. However the offer of free printing of a name and number wasn't offered on the website. I understand that it is offered in both club shops in Birmingham. Why is this offer not on the website for loyal fans like myself who live across the water? 2. How long does the Nike deal run for? Thank you in advance.
  12. Double disgrace in that it means we will be keeping Nike as kit supplier. I wanted Adidas.
  13. Thats exactly it. Lets not get annoyed at our young guns not being over hyped, lets not alert the sky four. Albrighton, Clark and Bannan are doing the club proud this season so far. I hope it continues. Wee Barry certainly seems to have caught the managers eye. Thats a few times he has spoken very kindly about him!
  14. Completely agree with this. Embarrassing that some are criticising our young and upcoming striker. I had read on here a few months ago that he was heading the way of the Moore brothers. Absolutely no evidence of that yesterday. The lad put in a shift and tried his best. I really hope he doesn't go the way of both Stefan and Luke because they also had great potiental. The Fonz still has plenty of time to prove his worth.
  15. I didn't see the highlights on MOTD last night so I am looking forward to them coming on here! All sounds very promising. I did read on the Sky Sports News app that it was a killer pass and great goal though.
  16. Thanks very much! I try to do as little as possible in Photoshop, I don't like how people constantly use Phoptoshop to get what they want rather than just try and achieve it by using their camera. All I have done to those is tweek the levels and slightly dark the sky in both. I also may have cropped slightly, I can't really remember!
  17. Cast - Bad Waters Demo of one of their new songs.

  19. I just went to order the new home shirt from the OS and expected a free name and number print only to find that they are now charging £10.17 (Ex VAT)! I know they stated on the website that it was an offer to people who bought from Villa Village or New Street club shops but it had previously been an offer extended to the website. Why should this offer now only be for those who live in the area and can actually buy from either of the stores?! So fans who live outside Birmingham are now getting the same offer. What a joke.
  20. I ordered the latest Wolfsburg home shirt last month with Diego 28 on the back, it is lovely! I have a VW addiction haha!
  21. Hey, I just started up a Facebook page for my photography. Here is the link, if you have time please have a look at the work and if you like it, 'Like' it and give me a little feedback! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Paul-Killeen-Photography/146833375351944?ref=sgm I hope you enjoy, thanks!
