Yep it needs to come out ASAP who will be the manager next season, either Houllier or the next man. Nothing will happen in the mean time. I shouldn't say that because Ireland was Milner sold/Ireland signed in between MON and Houllier.

People at the club will know if he intends to sign up if not ship out ASAP! Great if he does, if not thats fine because am sick of this. Play for the shirt or play somewhere else.

I feel exactly the same, stunned. I couldn't believe it. Knowing the modern footballer though I shouldn't be surprised at all. He seems geniune though. Young also stated that he was willing to signn on at the start of the season, the rest is history.

Aye I think I said earlier on another thread that we've not had a proper number 9 in a few years! I fully expect him to wear it next season!

First class signing. I am sick to the back teeth of Villa strikers failing to find the back of the net consistantly over the years. Darren Bent can score us 20+ goals next season I believe and that is good enough for me. So who else has Bent 39 on the back of one of this seasons shirts?

Ahh I do like that Schalke home shirt. The collar is lovely on it, same sytle as this seasons Boro shirt, which I also really like (without sponsor)!

Portstewart Promenade Bad Waters I am picking up a prize for Beginner of the Year at my photography club this week!

I want the new AC Milan shirt with Pirlo on the back! The shirt always has to have the name and number for me! I am currently looking for a name and number for this seasons River Plate shirt that my sister got me for my birthday!

I think the black Nike away shirt for this season will be next years third, it has been confirmed. So Nike will get the gig next year too. I'd love Adidas after Nike though.

Can I just point something out here. I can remember, what, about 1993 or something, Whte Hart Lane, Dwight Played, maybe even his full debut, I can't remember. He sat on the ball virtually on the goal-line and rolled it over. At the end of the match my mate said "He ain't no Andy Gray is he !" Fonz is young - the youngest of all our young - and he has proved he can score goals - its as simple as that. He isn't nowhere near the finished article - but he has shown he is a natural goalscorer - with feet and head. Fair play to the kid, I reckon he'll get 15 goals in a season within the next 3 years ! Oh I full agreed that if he is given enough game time to develope he can hit that goal target in one of the next three seasons, but being the new Dwight Yorke is a BIG ask. Thats my point. It is, once again (Like Luke & Stefan Moore, Vassell etc), massive expectations on one so young. However I do believe that if you are good enough it doesn't matter what age you are. No doubt he has talent!

The new Yorke, please wise up to yourself. Lets see how The Fonz goes, I like him and I think he deserves a run in the team but thats very high expectations man!

I think it's also true to say: The manager is clearly incapable, like so many managers of getting the best out of him so its probably best he moves on. How many people have to fail with Ireland before someone asks - Maybe he's just not that good? THIS! THIS! THIS! All wrapped up in a nice patterned paper with a bow on top ready for Santa to put under the tree! Maybe he isn't. It's possible, I grant you. But even in the matches he's played for us we've seen glimpses that he has ability. If he never again plays as well again as he did for Man City a couple of seasons ago then fair enough. But the key for me is that he hasn't even been given the chance to succeed in my opinion. No chance at all. Yep he has shown glimpses of that natural ability we all know he has. I do think if he'd have nicked a goal early on in his Villa career then it would have given him the spring in his step and more confidence to flourish. I really don't think we will see him do that here. I think Hou has made up he mind on Ireland and we ain't take no passengers under the new manager, which I agree with.

I was a little bit excited when Ireland eventually came through as part of the Milner deal, having seen his, sometimes, great ability a few seasons ago. There was a doubt in my mind that he had only ever turned this sort of form on consistantly for one entire season. I thought however, the lad has great ability. I knew about his off field doubt if you like, the Ireland (national team) situation, reports on his mental attitude etc but I was still hoping all during the Milner saga that Stephen Ireland would come to the Villa as part of the deal. He did. In the interview after he signed he said all the right things. However for me it was obvious that he never wanted to leave Manchester City in the first place so I though it would always take him time to settle. Unfortunately (I think for us Villa fans) I see him moving on to another club where a manager will sit him down and put an arm around him and tell him 'your my main man, I want to build a team around you'. It will be then that we see the best of him. I hope I am wrong and he does turn it around because there is, as everyone is willing to admit, a great player inside him. What I really can't fathom, and I remember telling all my mates the same time MON had left before this deal had gone through and it was him that had wanted the player. Stephen Ireland should never have remained as part of the deal because we never knew at the time whether or not the new manager (who turned out to be Hou) was going to like the player or not. We didn't even know who the manager was going to be. So who do the buck stop with, Randy or Paul Faulkner?!

I had the same problem being from Dublin, Ireland. But I ordered my Villa away shirt today and although the free name and numbering isn't available to online orders. There is the offer of 5 pounds off your order and free worldwide delivery if your are on the Villa mailing list. This offer more thatn makes up for the lack of free name and numbering for online orders. Great offer! How does that more than make up to the free shirt printing because it is double the cost of the offer on free standard delivery.

For those who are willing to admit they bought it, who did they get on the back of the shirt? I got Ashely Young 7 on the home (I think it may well be his last season at the club, thats the thought behind it). My mum has ordered the away shirt for a Christmas present with Albrighton 12.

Haha, my new home top just arrived today. On the tags there was a sticker stating 'Launch date: July 2010', too funny Nike. Really nice shirt though. Better than it looks on TV.
