    A pakistani mate of mine from smethwick is a liverpool supporter and I asked how he came to support them and he said when his dad arrived in this country to integrate he chose a football team to follow and the biggest team at that time was liverpool, and so he adopted them as his team, my mate supported them because his dad did. I would say 90% of my asian mates support liverpool.

    I have an asian mate who lives on trinity road and he is a man u supporter, drives up the m6 every other week to watch them play. Quite rightly I take the piss out of him for this. I asked him why he doesnt support a team on his doorstep and he said as a kid villa supporters gave him a load of abuse so he ended up hating the team.

    what a 24 hours, happiness that we may be getting OGS, texts off mates saying that its not happening now, and now, it may be happening again. So no work done again next week and constant F5 on VT.

    I stayed twice in the best western gateway. Its not smack bang in the centre of Santa Monica but its not a huge walk, mile at the most, particularly if you walk down Wilshire its a very pleasant walk. Its close to a walgreen, a couple of restaurants and the big blue bus to downtown LA or Santa Monica town centre stops outside. Its clean, friendly, has a ihop part of its premises and if I was returning it would be the place I go back to. Love Santa Monica.
