Seems to me he is doing all he can to be fit for the start of pre season, if he can & he can stay fit through pre season & our pre season fixtures then he could be a big player for us next season with hopefully 60+ games to play. crossing everything for him.

This is why I don't see us bringing in another right back, if we do use that system that you've highlighted & I agree with you then your not going to use Cash in that system as he wouldn't play in a back 3 as he isn't a centre back unless Emery gets him to learn how to play that system, like you've said I believe this is how we will set up next season & this is why we're trying to bring in another quality centre back, so 3 out the 4 quality centre backs will always play leaves another quality centre back on the bench & you also have Chambers if we have injuries etc. So if cash isn't going to play alot not sure why we would need another actual right back, think there will be games to use cash, could be Merano is injured or still injured & could use Cash as the attacking fullback that means a left sided centre back will play leftback, mirroring how we'd play if Mareno was playing down the left.

I'm thinking there maybe deals done there may not but I think we are not going to hear anything from the club till 1st July reason being Monchi doesn't start officially till then & he is going to want to be alongside those signings coming through the door. He may well be working on stuff with Emery as we speak but officially its the 1st of July he start & it would surprise me that's when our next signing comes through the door

I see us signing 3 attacking options, winger or 2 depending on if we sign a number 10 type & another forward, think Bailey & Beundia are upgradeable, Watkins on the other hand although is upgradeable not sure we'd be in a position to get someone better at the moment as that would be monster money & to try to attractthem to the project, those players are playing Champions league football & going for tiltles, definitely someone who can play up top or both wide/forward, if Ollie gets injured we need someone who can slot in, experience forward maybe like Rodrigo of leeds maybe good shout. I think our back line & midfield when all fit have proven they can go toe to toe whith big boys, was it a 3rd place finish since Emery came in, just improve our forward line & who knows where that would take us & I think that's where the most money will be spent, just my thoughts though

As much as I think there are better footballers at the club I'd say Ollie is probably our most important player behind Martinez & there is a argument to say ollie is our most important player fullstop. Reason being he is one of very few strikers that gets into double figures every season he has played for us, his work rate is probably the best in the Premier league, hardly ever injured, I'd go as far to say he is priceless to us, because where & how much would you have to pay for another Ollie Watkins, strikers are at a premium these days, so hard to find specially with Ollie's numbers. Strikers with better numbers than him will go for close to £100 million & those strikers wouldn't be on our radar at this moment in time. You could take a punt on a striker from overseas but its a risk. So that's my point regards him probably being our most valuable player as he has guaranteed us goals in his 3 season with us & you'd bet he'd get the same amount again next season, goals wins you games as they say.

Wow didn't realise Bilbao only sign players from the Basque region & in that still holding their own in La liga all this time, with such a smaller pool of player to pick from. This would be such a special signing if we can pull this off specially under the conditions that they hardly sell any of their players & their jewel in the crown so to speak

Sorry not been on most of afternoon, but last I seen early this arvo was he has declined Aston Villa's offer after meeting with Emery last Thursday. Has more info come out since then believing he may sign or was the sauce saying its off not credible?? Saves me going over everything again
