  1. It is absolutely remarkable. The NFL is a sports league that prides itself on parody, yet Randy Lerner couldn't get a team to lose less than 10 games a year for almost a record number of years. *Note, 16 game season, no draws*. Randy Lerner has been one of the worst sports owners in recent memory, as far as creating a stable and good football management. Trust me, I know, I've lived through both of them. I don't think he has any clue, he keeps throwing money at the problem, and now that he is out of money, he doesn't have a clue as to what to do. If by some miracle Villa survives relegation, he must sell. If he really cares about Villa, he MUST sell.
  2. That's what happens when you sell a billion dollar company.
  3. Worst owner in the history of sports? Ruined my Browns, now he is ruining my Villa. He needs to get the hell out of sports and go spend daddy's money somewhere else.
  4. Reinvest in the club or get the hell out, Randy. Lambert cannot get through to the players. I won't shed a tear if he is fired.
  5. Taking out both our work rate and our skill from midfield really crippled us. Lambert really mismanaged that one.
  6. Chris Herd is a terrible CB. Who thought that was a good idea?
  7. 10's for everyone. Everyone played fantastic. Out passed them, out hustled them, and were much creative than them, and out coached them.
  8. Good half, but I think a replacement fore Ireland and Weimann are needed at the moment, IMO.
  9. Anybody fancy photoshopping that? Could be a little close to the fine line of racism that. Didn't mean to insinuate that but...yeah, poor judgement from me.
  10. He can be B2. Bent is B1. BANANAS IN PAJAMAS!
  11. I'm shocked, never rated him among the best USA goalies. It's unfortunate there was no way for me to DVR the game here in the states, would have liked to have seen him play.
  12. When a team coached by Sam Allardyce is more threatening to you, then it's a bad thing. On the other hand, it probably should have been a 0-0 draw, but really we would not have deserved it. Lambert has work to do.
  13. Very hard to make a comparison...maybe the Detroit Lions. Traditional team, industrial city, haven't won much in a long time... I'd go with the Bears rather than the Lions. Hell, the Lions were the worst team in NFL history 3 years ago. Villa has never been a punching bag.
  14. First of all, please never compare me to the Blows fans again. Same reason most Villa fans hated Lerner for being in Cleveland so much. Neither fanbase was happy with Randy. It just so happens that the Browns had a year like Villa had last year for nearly 13 straight years. That being said, yes, we all have our share of the ignorant. Not all Browns fans immediately associate soccer with "fags". But then again, seeing that I am an American, I guess that doesn't shock me as much. Soccer, and like wise the fans, take a lot of flak over here. I wish I could explain it more, but I don't feel like writing an entire thesis paper on it.
  15. Just so we are clear, it's 700 million now, 300 million later. Deal cannot be fully completed until the NFL approves of the sale.
  16. I've followed the Browns' version of Kendrick, and it seems the following is the situation: Randy will be selling 70% for $920 million, and the sale will go through in October. Pretty much a done deal seemingly. Close enough, although recent reports are saying that it's more likely going to be done before the beginning of the NFL season. (Sept 9th)
  17. Just so we are clear, the reported number so far is that the current buyer is providing $920 million. There are rumors of some more people buying off the other shares too.
  18. Quite likely. He has never been a meddlesome owner. He was the reluctant owner who had this dumped on him when his father died. This has been on the books since late Spring, so he's obviously had thoughts about this for a long time. Also, Democrats have recently introduce a bill to raise the Death Tax to 45%. Another good reason to sell the team now.
  19. BTW, the Browns cannot be sold until October 2012, due to Al Lerner's moratorium on not allowing Randy to sell the team for ten years after his death.
