    I'm OK with giving Archer and Duran a chance as they have ability. As I said before people are dreaming if they think we were going to drop 80 million on another striker. Backup GK and a RB and that's us done for incoming and I'm happy with that.

    That's fine except all the teams above us on that list have champions league football and far far larger income than we do. We can't afford under FFP to do this all the time. Sanson Traore Trezuguet El Ghazi As examples off the top of my head where money isburned with very little coming back in in way of resale value. I suppose the only point to that is most of those are players from our promotion season and now maybe we won't be in that position again once that initial group of players that are unwanted will move on.

    We sign a lot of players, bin them off kill their value and loan them out until contract expiry. Not a good business model.

    Because we don't have the income to do it if we comply with FFP. We wasted most of the grealish money so the amortisation of that 100m for the most part is accounted for. Our wage bill is surely higher than ever with 2 big free transfers in Kamara and Tielemans, never mind paying off the scouse gimp and his backroom staff. The striker market is poor and you will be paying huge money to get equal or better than Watkins. I nornally find myself agreeing with you but on this surely you must see we have spent very very highly in the past 3 or so years and we won't be getting much for our deadwood fringe players if we are honest. All points to not spending 70/80m on a striker. It's just common sense.

    I don't obviously. I'm just using a degree of common sense in that we have spent a fair amount in wages and transfer fees and we can't be dropping 70/80 million on a striker that would be the cost to get a better striker.

    Need a backup RB and GK. Don't think anything else is achievable or realistic. We won't be buying a striker as good or better than Watkins with the budgets we have left.
