  1. A couple of us are staying over Saturday and Sunday night. Should be fun.
  2. No trains or metro from Newcastle to Sunderland on the day of the game. If you stayed in Newcastle it would be a pain. No buses either on New Years day running from Newcastle to Sunderland. Best bet would be to drive and stay over in Sunderland. I am sure hotel rooms on 02/01/14 would be easy to find.
  3. No trains or metro from Newcastle to Sunderland on this day. Trains are running to Newcastle from Birmingham.
  4. Do a search for Vienna’s Bermuda Triangle. :)
  5. Last season we took the additional allocation. I am sure we will do the same this year.
  6. Walk out of Euston and catch the tube from Euston Square using the Hamwersmith & City line. Takes about 30 mins to Upton Park.
  7. Looks like a few more tickets are available online now even though it was confirmed as sold out previously.
  8. Some tickets available online from the ticket office. Must be returns. Fill your boots :-)
  9. Train works this weekend. Ibis, travelodge and premier inn have rooms so if you want a beer you could drive and stay over.
  10. I bet you had a good day. Did you jump up when we scored?
  11. Looks like they could be season tickets which need to be returned. Having read your other posts it is a shame that the tickets have not turned up. You never know, you may get a call when you are in London. If not and you do arrive home and they are season tickets, do not return them until you have received your money back. I think you may get better protection if paid with a credit card. Check this with your card provider (if applicable).
  12. Got my ticket yesterday. As at now (2.20 pm - 15/08/13) Arsenal tickets are on sale online.
  13. Phoned up the ticket office earlier. Was told that all the Arsenal tickets were received late by Villa and were not posted out until yesterday. Could not be bothered to question them.
  14. Pete375, party at yours pre match then :)
  15. I was getting tickets from villa last season really late. If you buy tickets when they first go on sale it seems you get them last.
  16. If you ever go in here midweek it is full of suits unless an england game is on. May have a wonder in here when I am in london tomorrow :-) If you ever go in here midweek it is full of suits unless an england game is on. May have a wonder in here when I am in london tomorrow :-)
  17. This 30% off Chiltern offer may help if going by train from Moor Street. http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/30-percent-off-birmingham-to-london?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Advert&utm_term=fb&utm_content=web&utm_campaign=fb30
  18. Spoke to the ticket office at lunchtime. They were sending the final batch out today 1st class. Will ring if I havent got them by Wednesday. Not painicing....yet! I am in the same boat. Fingers crossed they will arrive tomorrow / Wednesday at the latest.
  19. It will be tight getting back in 30 minutes, Adams Park is a good three miles from High Wycombe station and as said earlier because the ground is at a dead end at the top of a long street which also happens to be an industrial estate then it can be a pain in the arse trying to get out in a vehicle. Taxis might be reluctant to come to the stadium because turning around at the top is tricky when it is busy, so you might be best served by walking down to the roundabout at the bottom of the street and trying to get a taxi from there. I don't think you have any chance of making it back to the station if you walk or get the bus. As for the train trip? Like I said, I work for the company who run trains between Birmingham and High Wycombe. There will be an inspector on the train, often they aren't booked to get onto the train until Banbury but there will be one. If you are on the "wrong" train then you can hope the inspector will use their discretion and let you off, especially if you explain you bought the ticket in good faith thinking you would be back for the 17:30 (might be worth telling them you missed the 17:30 by a few seconds!) but it really is up to them. There are some people who will let you off, there are some who wont. Probably worth mentioning that a lot of the inspectors on Chiltern are bluenoses though. The_Rev, do you have any insight into travel to/from London (Marleybone)? I had thought I'd just get a return which could be used at any time that day. Do Chiltern require you to purchase onto a specific train? Mary le bone Can't help with ticketing though, I have absolutely no idea about that side of the railway. I'd assume you can get some kind of out of boundary ticket if you are coming from London and have an Oyster card, from Birmingham I'd just say check the website. A day return from London to Wycombe is £18.00 which you can pay on the day. This ticket allows you to catch any train. You can not use Oyster Cards to Wycombe. A day return from Birmingham to Wycombe is £22.50, again you can purchase on the day and use any train. If traveling from Birmingham New Street you need to change at Banbury.
  20. Is this sold out? I am a season ticket holder for next season and I cannot purchase a ticket online. Could be the stupid online system though.
