  1. We were pants today. On the positive side I think we have done well so far this season. We need to forget about the result and look forward to the next game.
  2. Try National Express coaches. They are running today or get the Chiltern Train tomorrow. £19.50 cheap return. Use within one month.
  3. At least on the train you can have a beer if you want
  4. I am on this train as well. Train ticket was £19.50 return. Will be going to this pub which is just around the corner http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-metropolitan-bar
  5. Stayed in the Portsmouth Travelodge. No water, got the money back for the room. Not very good unable to have a wash. Worth it though.
  6. Getting to Portsmouth gone 1.00pm. Aim to be in here before 2.00pm http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubs/pub-details.php?PubNumber=322
  7. No problem glad I could help. We are staying over but not in the ETAP. Have stayed in this ETAP before and can recommend this. If you are looking for a pub near the ground try this one http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/pubs/pub-details.php?PubNumber=1526 I would not wear any colours though.
  8. Book a hotel and drive back in the morning. Try the Etap. Cheap as chips.
  9. If you are looking for a cheap hotel which is across the road from the ground, try the Etap. http://www.etaphotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml
  10. If anyone has a spare adult ticket, please pm me. Thanks
  11. If going on the train, go Birmingham to Manchester and then Manchester to Blackburn. If you go via Preston it will cost more.
  12. Think the bars in town could be shut. Have a drink on the out skirts and get the train in. Wetherspoons open early and if they are open in town they will NOT be selling beer.
  13. Been to Vienna a few times with England over the past couple of years. If you are looking for bars, head towards the Bermuda triangle, in the old city. Do a search on google.
  14. General, on the online ticketing system the option to search for available seats next to your own has been removed. This means that if supporters wish to purchase additional seats they need to telephone or visit the ticket office. By removing this facility, this means that additional work is undertaken by the hard working ticket staff employees which could be avoided. Do you know why this facility has been removed and if it will be reinstalled? Also, the ticket information section needs to be updated. Bolton tickets are now on sale however unless you purchase the match day programme, you would not be aware of this. Regards
  15. General, please can you clarify the date we play Manchester United as there in conflicting information on the web regarding this. Thanks EDIT - Date now confirmed. no need to reply to this.
  16. General, so to hear about your father. These things put life in prospective, any work concerns are not important. Work is part of your life, life is not work. Anyway, would it be possible if Aston Villa could start selling match day programmes online? If people are not returning home after a game it is difficult to go out with a match programme in your pocket. I appreciate that a post and package fee would be payable however for me, this would still be cheaper then doing a 20+ round trip journey to the Villa shop at Villa Park to purchase a programme. I also think that Aston Villa are missing out on ticket sales by not having facilities in the concourses for fans to buy future tickets for home games before and after games. This may reduce the congestion at the ticket office on match days.
