We're not jealous of Villa, at least I'm not. I've mentioned in here how I've always liked to see Villa do well, but no, please don't mistake all of this for jealousy. I'm respectful of Villa's past absolutely, but really, Villa have probably underachieved over their history. For me, it's touching a nerve and is entertaining as a result. I have to honest, I was always happy this season to see Villa go up with Wolves, and have no issues with the Villa fans at all, but the way Bruce and Dr Tony, and the chief exec (can't recall his name right now) have acted recently leaves a bad taste.

No worries, you should be. I have to be honest, I expected the pressure of today’s results to get to Villa, but they really stepped up when needed. Will be a very interesting end to the season now. We have two home games this week against Reading and Burton, which should give us a good opportunity to bounce back.

First half was a great game. Villa 100% deserved to win. Bruce setup his team very well, Villa presses well all game. Wolves clearly had quality but Danny Batth let us down badly three times. Wolves were denied a stone wall penalty but wouldn’t have changed much. Massive win for you guys under pressure. Congratulations.

This is all down to the noise coming out of Villa Park (staff, not fans) about Wolves all season. Plus it’s pretty catchy. I know it suits Villa fans to just write us off as obsessed, but it’s really not the case.

Agreed, it promises to be something special. Just in this ‘rivalry’ Thing, there seems to be the feeling on here that it’s the Wolves fans stoking this up and thinking we’re rivals. This isn’t really the case. In general we see things the same as you and while Wolves v Villa is the oldest league fixture in the world, it’s not really a rivalry I agree. Its true to say that with this investigation stuff and the game at the weekend there is a bit heightened this week. As I've said on here all season, generally I like Villa. This is just my opinion of course, you will find Wolves fans who aren’t so keen.

Well, we don't know any more than you. I'm slightly worried there may be stuff we don't know about, but if the only concern is Fosun part owning some of Mendes' agency, I don't really see that as a problem.

Agreed. If there's cause for investigation, let them get on with it and we'll see what comes out. The bitchiness on Twitter isn't smart though in my opinion.

The Villa fans have been great on this board, and I have no issue with Villa fans, but I have to say, the way the club, and Leeds as a club have acted this week (Leeds fans have been great to be fair also) doesn't come across well, and I'd be pretty embarrassed about it were I a Villa fan. They should let the league get on with an investigation if that's happening. Whatever the result of it there isn't much reason to come out publicly as he has, and also in a cowardly way. He's only retweeted other people, and posted old news articles, and least the Leeds guy made his thoughts explicit. As I said elsewhere, if Wolves have done anything wrong then we should be punished. This comes across as Wyness thinking nothing will happen but he wants a convenient entity to blame should Villa fail to win promotion.

This is the right attitude in my opinion.

Are Leeds really that bad? Not seen them for ages.

Leeds will raise their game tonight though, I can feel it. For the the first time this season I have to admit the nerves are kicking in. Such a big game tonight. To think, I was a bit worried at one point that the end of the season might be a bit boring!
