    Hi General. The cheaper tickets worked a treat today with about 40k fans in attendance (biggest home attendance this weekend I think in the cup) That sensible approach from the club meant many fans who wouldn't have been able to afford it could see the team again. So well done Villa

    Just seen the ticket prices for the Brighton game - very sensible and we'll get a better gate than the Blackburn FA Cup one. Well done Villa.

    I agree with the posters above. I think including the Liverpool and Blackburn FA Cup matches we will end up playing 8 games in the space of 30 days inclusive of 6 at home. Setting the pricing for these games at affordable levels will be the key to filling the stadium (considering the number of games and that most people are skint after Xmas!) ensuring that the team gets the best support. Thanks to the club for listening.

    Anyone know roughly how many fans Blackburn took to Villa? Was it another mini bus job?!

    I have to echo the thoughts of the above poster. We've made some great improvments but the catering side (non corporate) still has some serious work to be done. Lack of stock, lack of staff and probably not the most effective payment systems. Cheers though and a happy new year :winkold:

    You'd probably be safe having a pint in the Rover's pubs. They've only sold 11k tickets!

    Huge game and one if we lose could have a massive impact on morale. I'd happily take a point now! The key for me is two things: a) Nullify Gerrard by playing 3 in central midfield like we did at Anfield Expose the loss of Mascherano by running at their central defence. Can only see Liverpool winning but I would love to be wrong! Come on Villa!

    Just got back from the Emirates! Thought we battled well to start with but the first goal was the turning point. Fair play to Arsenal they deserved the points today and I think a 4-5-1 (like last season when we won) might have given us a bit more control of the game. Onwards and upwards hopefully and 75% of the top four is still something to smile about!

    Or Spurs get in the top two of one of the main 2 competitions. After all they haven't managed that for over 45 years!!!

    Good result and very pleased to see the clean sheet. With Downing in midfield it feels like we have a real attacking threat which is great to see. Well done for O'Neill for rewarding the vast majority of those who impressed away at Pompey.

    It's weird how Lennon has never made the PFA team of the season once, or twice! Tottenham Hotspur 2 league titles and no European Cup. That's the main 2 competitions! Almost 50 years spent out of the top flight as well! Bless the tiny tots!

    Good result. Suddenly with a central midfielder who can run with the ball look forward rather than backwards we look a team! Hoping Young steps it up a gear now after that decent performance. Heskey should now start in front of John Carew. If you score you should keep your place! Great away following from Villa - took the stand over!

    Already outperformed Spurs in 2 out of the 4 competitions! The 2 league title tiny tots were obviously too busy believing their own hype after getting a draw!

    O'Neill was pretty clueless with his tactics second half. He really needed to do something to change the game. Worrying signs.

    With Ekotto handballing it at one end and Thierry Dawson using his arm to score it is clear that Spurs have got lucky again.
