  1. Classic comments from Palacios! I can't understand why someone would want to look for a move from a club that has come in the top seven 3 times in 18 seasons. They must be a real giant of the game
  2. Let's hope Heskey isn't in the starting line up!
  3. Still fuming at Dowd's incompetence! It took us 10 years to get there for that cretin to mess it up!
  4. Not sure who we can contact about this but a few possibilities might be: fl@football-league.co.uk ra@footballreferee.org ian.blanchard@thefa.com I don't know about everyone else but I feel so bitter about this decision that I'm willing to kick up a fuss to all the referee contacts so that Phil Dowd doesn't get away with this!!!! Even if it comes to nothing I'm going to be a royal pain just to remind the people that matter of what a complete incompetent, weak, Fergie licker Dowd is!!!
  5. If Dowd did what he was supposed to then we would have been playing against 10 men. That incompetent moron has cost us big time!
  6. To be fair regardless of which forum or thread it is on we've outdone you in the main 2 competitions and overall so we'll be the winners where ever it is:cheers:
  7. Pav looks a talented footballer although he lacks experience at playing for a big club...
  8. If football did start in the premiership era: Villa: 2 league cups and 2 Intertotos Spurs: 2 league cups - one of them a severely weakened one. League: Villa more points! Vila better average position! Over 70% of premiership seasons spent above Spurs! Villa 8 top six finishes, Spurs 2! And for the record Spurs play long ball football NOW! When even Bolton and Stoke call Spurs a long ball team you have to take note! As for the totality of top flight league football: Aston Villa 7 league titles and 11 runners ups! Spurs 2 league titles and 4 runners ups! 79 of 121 top flight years spent in a higher position / league status to the tots! As for the European Cup: Aston Villa - winners Spurs - not applicable. There is nothing you can say or do that is going to change that overall and in the premiership era we've overwhelmed you. At least you had the 50's and 60's.
  9. I see Spurs have changed their badge for next season http://photos-images.active.com/file/1/1594704/optimized/4c1213df-3331-4b44-85e1-10e1309ec394.jpg
  10. Yes but because that happened in the post war era, I'm sure it counts double for Tottenham, am I right Glaston? I don't recall Spurs either coming 1st or 2nd in the top flight post the year the Vietnam War ended
  11. Hi General With Villa getting a replay against Crystal Palace (a lower league side) sandwiched in between a premier league game against Burnley and an expensive day out at Wembley it will be a tough time financially for the fans. After great competitive prices for the match against Brighton it enabled Villa to have the highest crowd of the round and I feel if the club want a good turn out then, and I'm sure they will, the price structure will need to be similar for this game. Keep up the good work, thanks.
  12. Thought we were going out and was getting flash backs of our defeat to Sheffield United in the Cup a few years back (Warnock again!) Starting Heskey alone up front was asking for trouble. My first thought was that gave us little goal threat. I'd rather see the Delf and Carew up front than Heskey - he just doesn't look like scoring!!! Good draw for the next round providing we can see off Palace at Villa Park
  13. Never mind Spurs have still won 2 top flight league titles and no european cup and have 15 of the last 18 seasons outside the top 7! Nothing the deluded spud can say or do will change their overall inferiority!
  14. Well there is that as well! Can anyone spot which one is Peter Crouch? http://www.ave-it.net/crouchschoolkid.jpg
  15. The best thing is whatever waffle Glaston comes out with Spurs have still won 2 league titles (not even come 2nd for 45 years) and no European Cup!
  16. Maybe Glaston is trying to find Spurs missing top flight league titles - after all they've only won two!!! Or perhaps he's counting Spurs European Cup wins - shouldn't take him long that one!!! Or perhaps after being given a good pasting overall in the main 2 competitions the special one is adding together the peripheral competitions! Tottenham Hotspur - 47 years out of the top flight and 15 years out of 18 out of the top 7!!! What a colossus!
  17. Maybe he's trying to find Spurs top flight/European Cup winners or runners up in the last 45 years (he might be looking for a while if he is!!!)
  18. No surprise as they officially play more long balls than us  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1246912/Do-Aston-Villa-really-play-long-ball-game-Arsene.html
  19. So just to confirm in the biggest 2 competitions: League: Aston Villa 7 winners and 10 runners ups Tottenham 2 winners and 4 runners ups Aston Villa about 1300 more points overall on a consistent points methodology. Aston Villa more top 1, top 2, top 3, top 4, top 5 and top 6 than the tiny tots! Aston Villa 12 years out of the top flight, Tottenham 47 years! Aston Villa 79 years out of 121 as the higher ranked league team of the two (including 13 of the last 18 seasons!) European Cup: Aston Villa - winners Tottenham - never made a final! So well done tots in the peripheral competitions but in the big 2 overall we've blitzed you! We should mention Spurs 15 out the last 18 seasons out of the top 7 positions! Scrub all that Tottenham are massive, triffic and huge and it doesn't matter that they don't make a footnote of winners of the biggest domestic or european competition! http://www.epltalk.com/man-united-most-successful-club-english-history/2060
  20. Tottenham Hotspur 2 top flight league titles, no European Cup and almost half a century spent as a non top flight team! Absolutely blitzed in the main 2 competitions overall! Let's all hear it for the super tots with less top 1, top 2, top 3, top 4, top 5 and top 6 finishes!(although they do play more long passes than any other team!) If only we could finish in the top seven three times in the next 18 years like Spurs we'd be huge!!!
  21. No ... why would I? I don't usually have any great desire to slag off any manager. It's not as if W.Ham are really any great rival to Spurs, and in any case, Redknapp generally did well for them and boosted his reputation as a good manager. He helped to stabilise them and establish them in the Prem, and also helped bring through a number of young players from the club's academy, including Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Carrick and Lampard. He also took them to 5th place, which is a remarkable achievement for a club like W.Ham There was me thinking West Ham gained more league points than Spurs in the last 2 complete league seasons Very nice to hear you waffling on but you've still won 2 league titles (less than Huddersfield Town) and no European cup! We've blitzed you overall in the big 2. Well done on spending more years as a non top flight team than finishing above us as well. Really impressive stuff!
  22. For a team that has spent more years as a non top flight team than finishing above us they have "special" fans!
  23. Hoof to Crouch, hoof to Crouch and for a change hoof to Crouch!
  24. The amount of times the ball was hoofed to Crouchy was amazing! Spurs are fast becoming the new Wimbledon..
  25. I think we did quite well against Wimbledon Hotspur today! Hoof to Crouch, clear it! We didn't get out of 2nd gear as an attacking force but still scored the only legal goal across the 2 matches!
