  1. As long as Heskey doesn't start then at least it's 11 vs 11!
  2. Can't believe the amount of space we gave Wolves for their second goal. School boy defending!
  3. Anyone see Hull's goal today? The ball deflected off Dowd and the Hull player went through to score! Can't believe that clown is still in work!
  4. Birmingham created 21 chances against them including 14 on target!!! We should create chances against this lot but we need Gabby to play as Heskey is a liability. Bent has a good record against us so will need to be watched closely. A draw will not be enough!
  5. How frustrating is it when you get Cuellar (the centre back) trying to pretend he can pass it at right back to Downing on the right (the left midfielder) who then comes inside again! He then crosses it to the rubbish Heskey! Dire!
  6. Well played Young and Carew who looked our best players today. Cuellar is not a right back and is poor with the ball, Heskey went missing as per normal. Petrov should have been sent off if I'm honest and Downing should have scored that header. Certainly a part of his game he needs to work on! There goes our top four chances. We just need to hope Agbonlahor is back for Sunderland and that O'Neill drops his pet Heskey!
  7. North Stand and Trinity are pretty much sold out with limited availability in the Holte and DE stand - looking like about 40k I reckon!
  8. I can't believe all this rubbish on here - we all know Spurs are the best team in the world! Hoof 1: Exhibit A Davies notes 'long ball' Spurs "Tottenham played a lot of long balls into Crouchy" Hoof 2: Exhibit B "Spurs were looking to use the height of Peter Crouch rather than playing through Stoke" "they went route one" Hoof 3: Exhibit C “I think they played more long balls than anyone I’ve played against this season with the balls upto Peter Crouch." Hoof 4: Exhibit D “It’s funny I thought in the game it was quite strange because a lot of their attacks came from long balls up to ‘Crouchy’" Hoof 5: Exhibit E Redknapp dropped the England striker for Tottenham's subsequent league matches against, unimpressed with how his team resorted to playing high balls towards Crouch. 'We can play it too long at times" Hoof 6: Exhibit F "It was mentioned to me that our goals against Liverpool were out of the old Wimbledon manual and I have to admit it is something I literally called for at half time." Hoof 7: Exhibit G Predictable long-ball merchants Tottenham don't scare us 'They always play a long ball first, and the game will start from there." Hoof 8: Exhibit H Kranjcar defends route one Tottenham "You are looking to create chances through crosses and long balls"
  9. Would like to see Carew and Gabby up front for this one!
  10. Would be useful if you/ the club could clarify the position on the above as I would be very likely to buy the 5 tickets if it gave me a stronger chance of a cup semi final ticket. Thanks.
  11. Couldn't believe Downing and Heskey giving the ball away so easy at the end. It took a younger member of the team in Milner to show them what to do! Take the ball to the corner! Very good result in an important match for us as it keeps us in touch with the pack. Milner was awesome - reminded me of a younger Steven Gerrard!!!
  12. Huge 2nd half - a win would do so much for our confidence!
  13. There is no logic to Heskey staying in the starting line up! Really frustrating seeing him in the team! Saying that a point at Stoke is not a disaster (a decent result looking at their home record) but we'll need to take 3 off Wigan now on Tuesday if we want that 4th place.
  14. So 3 times in 18 years Spurs have been one of the top seven teams in the main domestic competition! Of course, they are the best team in the World though!
  15. Classic comments from Palacios! I can't understand why someone would want to look for a move from a club that has come in the top seven 3 times in 18 seasons. They must be a real giant of the game
  16. Let's hope Heskey isn't in the starting line up!
  17. Still fuming at Dowd's incompetence! It took us 10 years to get there for that cretin to mess it up!
  18. Not sure who we can contact about this but a few possibilities might be: fl@football-league.co.uk ra@footballreferee.org ian.blanchard@thefa.com I don't know about everyone else but I feel so bitter about this decision that I'm willing to kick up a fuss to all the referee contacts so that Phil Dowd doesn't get away with this!!!! Even if it comes to nothing I'm going to be a royal pain just to remind the people that matter of what a complete incompetent, weak, Fergie licker Dowd is!!!
  19. If Dowd did what he was supposed to then we would have been playing against 10 men. That incompetent moron has cost us big time!
  20. To be fair regardless of which forum or thread it is on we've outdone you in the main 2 competitions and overall so we'll be the winners where ever it is:cheers:
  21. Pav looks a talented footballer although he lacks experience at playing for a big club...
  22. If football did start in the premiership era: Villa: 2 league cups and 2 Intertotos Spurs: 2 league cups - one of them a severely weakened one. League: Villa more points! Vila better average position! Over 70% of premiership seasons spent above Spurs! Villa 8 top six finishes, Spurs 2! And for the record Spurs play long ball football NOW! When even Bolton and Stoke call Spurs a long ball team you have to take note! As for the totality of top flight league football: Aston Villa 7 league titles and 11 runners ups! Spurs 2 league titles and 4 runners ups! 79 of 121 top flight years spent in a higher position / league status to the tots! As for the European Cup: Aston Villa - winners Spurs - not applicable. There is nothing you can say or do that is going to change that overall and in the premiership era we've overwhelmed you. At least you had the 50's and 60's.
  23. I see Spurs have changed their badge for next season http://photos-images.active.com/file/1/1594704/optimized/4c1213df-3331-4b44-85e1-10e1309ec394.jpg
  24. Yes but because that happened in the post war era, I'm sure it counts double for Tottenham, am I right Glaston? I don't recall Spurs either coming 1st or 2nd in the top flight post the year the Vietnam War ended
