Perhaps you should open your eyes then. Look at performances from last year vs performances this year. We have absolutely battered many of the teams we have played this season. We have pretty much all new players. We have had bad luck and we have suffered from a lack of concentration and some unacceptable blunders, which we need to stamp out. The forest game (and Huddersfield) we dominated and should have won. Luton in the cup was the second string of mostly last seasons players on their last chance to stay in the team. They didn't take it. The atmosphere and ethos is different. Despite the negativity of people on here, the atmosphere at the ground is 100X better this season, the football is better, we are having shots on goal. They WILL start to go in. Remember, we were an absolute disaster last season, and we could conceivably been in a relegation struggle this season. we will not be, we will be competing and challenging at the top. Not sure where you think we have neglected? we have bought new and better players in every area of the pitch. There was too much to replace in one window and we did very good business.

Jesus. Got to love Villatalk at times when you get shit like this. We are far from being a joke, we WERE a joke, but we have turned a corner, we have stopped the rot, we need things to start clicking over the next few games and we will then start to dominate in this league. Newcastle lost their first two games, since then they have played some pretty weak teams. We are 10x better than we were. it was a massive turn around job and we are not there yet.

What? Seriously????? I would imagine that the kids that are (should) be willing to give blood sweat and tears for this club would hate the way he behaved as much as we do, they would probably be motivated to kick him all round the pitch.

^^^ And at the moment we are. Performances and atmosphere and commitment this season are much better, but ultimately we are still very fragile and we are not getting the results. Until we do, we ARE still on the decline (although no longer in free fall) although I do believe we are close to turning it round. A couple of wins (even scraped together wins against the run of play) will start to turn the mentality and add more positivity. If we can string a few together in the next month, then people will be starting to look at us as title contenders.

And there you have it. In a nutshell, the problem with modern football.
