    Going Under ?

I'm glad I watched 3/4 of the European Cup final on television when I was seven... I watched the first half and then just after the second started the stress suddenly got to me and I ran upstairs to hide in my bedroom! :s Then I had an idea, I turned on the radio cautiously to hear what was happening. Then about 15 minutes later my older brother shouted "What are you doing?! Come back downstairs now and watch the rest of the game!" So I did, a bit sheepishly, and just in time for the goal. If we'd won it five years later or more it would have meant more. At seven years old I was a bit too young to fully appreciate it.

    Going Under ?

I totally understand a Championship player wanting to take an opportunity while they can to play in the Premier along with the chance to play in the Champions League and for England. Football players never know when they might get a serious injury. Grealish really tried so hard to get us promoted. He clearly loves Aston Villa. But how much? Enough to sacrifice the Premier League/Champions League/national team opportunity? He's a Villa fan but is he a Villa fan so much that he'd sacrifice all that? I'll be very surprised if he stays.

    Going Under ?

If it turns out that we're in not just deep but massively deep financial trouble I wonder if Prince William might be able to help a bit... if he owns some of the royal land in the UK then maybe he could sell a few acres to help save the club!? I'm only half joking. He'll want to do something if he can. And Tom Hanks could donate a dollar or two. If only Bill Gates and Richard Branson were Villa fans too!
  4. Forgot to say, if we win, I'd also be especially happy for Hogan if he got the winning goal. Just remembered his great run in January, scoring in three league games in a row, showing us what he's capable of.
  5. Hahaha! Brilliant! Hutton in the 93rd, that's a great day dream there from Prince William. I'd also be so happy for the Scottish Cafu if that happened. My player for the day dream 93rd winner is Jack. If it wasn't him him then suddenly it's a tough choice... ? my second choice would be from Hutton, Terry, Bjarnasson, Adomah, Grabban or Kodjia. Johnstone from a long goal kick would be nice too.
  6. My Scottish supervisor in one of my old jobs used to say 'yous' all the time (when talking to more than one of us). Talking of Scottish, let's hope the Scafu has an other cracking performance. I'm so nervous. :s Come on our team!!!
  7. Just noticed that, like us last season, Middlesbrough didn't score more than three in a league game this season. Whereas we managed it six times. That has suddenly made me feel a little bit less worried, just slightly. But... if they finally score more than three on Saturday I won't be too impressed. :s
  8. Yes, she could have scored it.
  9. Nice team selection, Alan. : ) Aha. It's exactly the same as the one I thought of last night. It's very tempting to go withJedinak as he's tough, very experienced and wins lots of headers but Bjarnasson has lots of energy and has been great in the last few months.
  10. We conceded three against Cardiff and QPR this season... I think that's it. So just twice. It's good that we haven't conceded more than three all season! (So far!) :s
  11. There are two areas where we've done absolutely brilliantly since being in the Championship, two things that have really pleased me: for two seasons in a row now, 1) no-one has scored more than three goals against us (such a big change from the last five years in the Premier League) and 2) no-one has done the double against us (thanks to Grabban's late goal today). Well done team, what a nice change!
  12. About a possibility of still finishing second, well you just never know, stranger things happen at sea. (Like... er... cargo ships are sometimes swallowed whole by giant halibuts. And Mermaids FC play matches against Sea Monsters United, so you just never know). "It's a funny old game, Saint".
  13. If we win then a playoff place will be 100% officially in the bag because we'll have 79 points and no team below 6th can get that much now, even if they win all of their remaining four games.
  14. It's on ! Ooh, quite exciting.
  15. Booo, I don't want Bishop Desmond. I want 8 (eight) league wins in a row! Eight is great! P.s. Des, if you're reading this, please don't be offended. Hope you understand.
  16. Hahaha! Hilarious! Cats United 0 Raccoon Villa 1 Daylight robbery, a blatant impudent steal!
  17. Yeah exactly, it was so stressful! :s For me that felt like the most stressful match of the season so far. What a way to win it, in the last minute! Like a beautiful dream. Yeeaaahhhh! And to finally win five league games in a row, for the first time since 1998, feels good !
  18. Rent a cottage on the Isle of Wight if it's not too dear. We could scrimp and save.
  19. Today it's a different commentator for the AVFC highlights, and I like his commentary, with enthusiasm and some excitement when we score! He raises the volume and tone of his voice when we score, that's the way! When we win, those highlights are one of the highlights of my week and, in my opinion, the commentary for our goals should correspond with our feeling at those moments (especially as it's our OS in-house highlights).
  20. Hahaha! Apart from the suit you guys that also reminds me of another Fast Show character: Ron Manager ("Three and in. Jumpers for goalposts. One boy's gone home for his tea... Marvellous. Isn't it?")
  21. Yay ! I want to see the "so much win!" again! (That's easily one of the best things I've ever seen on here. It's some kind of very happy cartoon superhero with yellow Viking horns and clenched fists and he says "So much win!" Brilliant!!!)
  22. I just watched the highlights on AVTV and when Hogan scores the commentator sounds like he's a Forest fan. He actually manages to sound like he's not pleased when we score, it's the same every week. How about a bit of happiness and enthusiasm when we score a goal? Shouldn't the AVTV commentator be a Villa fan? Is he not a Villa fan? And when we're in a great, dangerous, attacking position how about a bit more enthusiasm then too? Ok so Jack Woodward was a bit over the top and a bit Alan Partridge but his love and passion for VIlla was clear.
  23. Curse you Penelope Pitstop! I mean curse you Aden Clint of Bristol City! No third place for us tomorrow, boo. :< I'm surprised at people saying we're going to win 3-0, have a look at their away results so far, they've all been very close matches! Every single one of their five away defeats has been by just one goal, so I'm worried about tomorrow. Ok, like us they don't usually score more than two but they don't concede many either.
  24. Oh for goodness sake! Nottingham Forest 0 Cardiff 2, after 40 minutes. Grrr, curse you Cardiff! : < And "curse you Penelope Pitstop!" Come on Forest! Fight back! "Attack! Attack! Attack!", as someone often used to say on the Aston Villa website's live text commentary. In fact, that was usually the only thing he ever posted. I think his name was George.
  25. " So much better being able to enjoy the weekends again after years of Villa putting a dampener on them "... NeilS, this is so true !!! :> Maybe we should get relegated more often. (Only joking! Hahaha!)
