  1. Mr Hudson (made in brum) - Straight no Chaser http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtVYtH-s_Zc
  2. Wish Downing was a bit fitter TBH, but best chance we have had in years, but we must remember we are away..... Fergies last game for em, we rip em apart and score 4, Milner hailed as a midfield master, Young finds his best form ever and Gabby rips Vidic an new asshole......Happy Xmas! & UTV
  3. Another midfielder, seems you want quite a few, be interesting to see what happens to Jenas and more interestingly (at least to me) Huddlestone. Who owns this Sandro fella? Rumor is hes part owned by his agent......
  4. Donovan's worth the gamble, he will try his very best and with Evertons injury problems I can see the logic behind it. I have a feeling he will do well. Agree with the Dempsey comments, he is a decent player who does not get the plaudits he deserves. Arteta's beer for a signature? Sounds like a he was just having a laugh TBH, nothing to get to worked up about, is it?
  5. I don't think playing in the reserves or sitting on the bench at any team increases a players value. We have players who are in a similar situation, IMO it does them more harm than good, unless they are on the fringes of the first team (get occasional games)
  6. Vidic struggles with pace, he has had to foul Gabby in our last few games in order to stop him (should have been a penalty IMO). If we start with 2 up front Gabby needs to make plenty of diagonal runs to try and pull the defence apart. I would start 4-5-1 though, their weakness is in the middle, they have no Scholes and Carrick is playing in defence (where is Wes Brown?) that prob means Anderson and Gibson start, put them against a midfield of Young, Milner, Downing, Petrov and NRC and they will struggle. They are not weak going forward, Owen has hit great form and Rooney is the best player in the league. Its gonna be a great game, either way. I would go 1-1, thats prob means 4-0, to..........?
  7. SALF has started his mind games, expect a newspaper article pretty soon saying how Villa have a great chance of the top 4 and that their injuries mean we are favorites......... Villa need to ignore Manures injuries and just play our game. Milner has a real chance to shine here, question is will he blow his lines? IMHO, NRC to man mark Rooney and one up front.
  8. Bale was the stand out for me, he caused havoc, in his own box! Thought Corluka played quite well.
  9. Had to laugh at Dawson elbowing Fellani from behind, reckon he deserves MOTM for that alone. When Crouch elbowed Fellani he looked shocked, he then realized it was his 'special skill' and gave Crouch one back.
  10. Put NRC on to man mark Rooney, could see his temper getting the better of him under those circumstances, just like Ronaldo's did.
  11. If they store your IP address then they must register, as per the data protection laws. Ask them if they comply and who is in charge of the data, their 'Data manager'. This 'coys' site has no contact details registered with whois, its all cloak and dagger, setup more like a scam site than a football forum. Probably owned by an Arsenal fan......
  12. One player thats not injured and is the one to fear.....Rooney. as for the betting, what you can afford to loose, prob £100. I looked at this as a bet as well, but in all honesty I find its best to keep away from bets on your on team. Prefer one on Wolves away.
  13. The cost of the server that would be able to cope with the traffic, with the amount of wind ups they would get, would be astronomical.....IMO :winkold:
  14. I would start with this team as well, I would perhaps consider one change and that would be........Heskey for Gabby. Why? Think Heskey brings our midfield players into the game more than Gabby who tends to stretch play with his speed, leaving our midfield unable to support him. Reckon we will score first and the game will end up a draw. 2-2. This is a big game for Milner, especially if he starts in the middle, he can show the world how good he is.
  15. 4-1 to the Villa, this game is a must win if we are to challenge the top 4, Heskey to score 2. UTV
  16. I have told you what the web traffic (independent figures) are into the site, you are posting the figure for posts, which can be artificially inflated by editing the database figure or posting like a madman, or woman. http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/villatalk.com http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/coys.sportsmaestros.com Not that any of this matters, surely its common sense that a site closed to all (but the chosen few) will be less popular than one that's open to all, that's the nature of the web. Bit bored of all this point scoring TBH, the score was 1-1 on Saturday and that's all that counts for a few months, at least in my book. C ya and UTV.
  17. id say thats because most of the older members have been banged up I think its got a lot more to do with our Villa agent, Tom Hanks and his recent purge on the Illuminati. Villa also have a secret forum, so secret that it cannot be mentioned in name, you either know where to look or you don't............
  18. http://secunia.com/advisories/21442/ Check here for a security issue which will allow you to at least view the posts, a bit of work and you can also post on it. Not worth it though TBH, the COYS board is pretty dead, gets about a 1/3 of the traffic Villa talk gets and its traffic is surprisingly dropping month on month.
  19. Milner was great in the middle, the through ball for Heskeys and his own goal plus he tracked back and put some challenges in, Petrov seemed to benefit as well. Milner in the midfield could get very interesting over the next few games.
  20. They ain't that bad, just a close rival to us, although reading the press you would not think we were anywhere near them and thats the problem I have with Spurs, 'Fur Coat and no knickers' springs to mind or perhaps 'Feather coat and no knickers' Most football fans are delusional and unrealistic when it comes their own clubs. Spurs seem to have lots of these 'type of fans' working in the media, which works against them when it comes to other teams fans. Either way they have a decent team, with plenty of English talent, a principle which I for one quite like. UTV
  21. I have no doubt Everton will recover and will be top 8 come the end of the season, last season should have taught us that. They have a squad of players who have been consistent over 40 odd games in the last 4 or so seasons, thats important come March onwards. Out of all the youngsters breaking through at Arsenal, West Ham, ourselves.......... I believe Rodwell has the best chance of success. For his age he looks very steady, when he has a good game he can be the main man on the pitch, even at his age.
  22. Played reasonable well, we are however missing opportunities on the break, the wrong passes were made quite a few times and this is a worry. Overall though very pleased, would put NRC or Sidwell in the middle with Milner and Petrov for the stronger teams (drop a forward to make way) Our fans were exceptional, well done to those that made the journey. MOTM? Got to be Downing, our future star, IMO he will make a big difference when he is fully fit. Don't care who we get next TBH. UTV
  23. Is it realistic to expect to come onto a rivals forum and expect your players to be lorded over ours and meet no opposition? We have an open forum and encourage visitors and despite many opposing views, we do have reasonably decent debates. We could, of course, close the board to outside fans and be happy in our own ignorance, which suits many fans, but not all. If you want flattering accounts of your players, you need to be on your own forums, like we all are........ PS Hope you have a great season, but not as great as ours. UTV
  24. IMO, King could have been one of the best and would have challenged Rio and Terry for a place in the England team IF and only IF he had not spent so much time injured. Its a real shame for him and England/ Spurs. But the facts are he can't play more than one game a week without problems and this has cost him his place as being considered "one of the best of his generation" Sorry but thats the facts and it will mean he will never reach his full potential (like many other players) Paul Mc Grath is in a different league to him and TBH most of the central defenders I have seen since, most players that have played with him would tell you that, funny thing is he wouldn't agree, but thats Paul Mc all over.
