  1. Right, I've a hangover of epic proportions, I've been for a number 2, 3 times today without eating a single thing. I have half a pizza that I'm too scared to go near for fear of hurling, I've got the sweats and am trying to sleep it off but failing to drop off because my heads pounding that much. The only bit of comfort I have is that this transfer might go through today. Can Villa please get this wrapped up in the next hour please, I believe it'll kick start my recovery and make everything right again. I'll even crack open a tinnie when it's confirmed I'm that confident it'll heal me. Pray for me people, yes it'll be nice to have a promising, shit-hot youngster coming in but wouldn't it make you feel even happier knowing you helped raise me up from the depths of hell and the borderline of death. Eurgh!
  2. Ermm... what a dreamboat... ermmm...
  3. Who cares?? It's not our money. It kind of is. We pay for tickets, merchandise etc, which all goes in the club's coffers. It's true to an extent but I suspect most of the club's and other PL club's money comes from sponsorships, prize money, tv money etc. Tickets and merch is a drop in the ocean but I understand what you mean. Really though, it barely is fans money dictating a thing, hence why the likes of Bayern can spend shedloads and have such tiny ticket prices. As for Levy being a shit-hot negotiater (nothing to do with the quoted post), he has that rep but to me he'd seem a bigger moron letting Ade train/play with the U21's and carry on paying him his massive wages week after week like he has done since last summer. I can see Villa stumping up a big loan fee but not paying 100% of the wages too.
  4. Did you see what shoes Paddy Reilly put on this morning?
  5. Maybe it's all done and dusted but we're waiting until 23.59 to announce it to give Leicester fans blue balls.
  6. Do bundle up, it's awfully cold outside.
  7. If he scores more than 4 he'll be better value than Falcao was (I still think Falcao is mint).
  8. Business loan, it's as good A+.
  9. They're saying, those Leicester fans seem a bit like lunatics. They were rock bottom for months on end, went on an impressive run, finished a whopping 3 points ahead of Villa so now feel like Veretout should choose them over Villa because of this? Le lunatiques!
  10. His goal record in Ligue 1 over 2 seasons, is 13 goals in just under 28 full games if you add up the actual number of minutes on the pitch. Not that bad.
  11. 34 isn't that old and his game was never about pace. I doubt Berbatov and Adebayor would start together but imagine taking Ade off around 70 mins and then having someone with the technical and football brain ability of Berbatov to unlock tired defences. As long as he wasn't on stupid wages I'd be happy to have him in the ranks. He's a bloody good player!
  12. He looks like fessel from the film four lions Hopefully he can have as big of an explosive impact for us. P.S. If you're in work, don't google search the word fessel by itself... Especially if you've already got wood over the Veretout speculation.
  13. I know his head's not all there but his scoring record is is still pretty good goals to games wise, even after the shooting and his family treating him like absolute shite. Let's make him feel loved and wanted here and we could see actual benefit from him.
  14. So, Anthony Jordan Martial or Karim Mustafa Jordan Benzema to come in and play up-front. In all seriousness, if we do pull off Veretout (oo-er) maybe that would give us a slight chance of Martial (assuming we have any interest). Or we can get Giroud when Benzema signs for Arsenal. It's all coming together. Roger Boli is on stand-by if we can't complete any of those deals.
  15. You could at least take him out on a date first.
  16. We're signing him 15 years too late if you ask me.
  17. Igunana go out on a limb here and say Richard doesn't know anything. I read last summer him saying how huge things were happening and he was very positive and it was just the same old crap.
  18. Villa are a decent size club but what exactly does that mean? Villa's last 4 league finishes have been 16th, 15th, 15th and most recently, 17th. If we were finishing 6th, 5th, 5th and 8th and he was coming out with the aiming to move onto somewhere bigger in the future I could understand why it'd grate but I think fans need to face up to what Villa are at present and not what we have/could be. The likes of Stoke, Swansea and Southampton are just as much of a draw since they can pay the same sort of money, if not better and have been out-performing us in the league. Winning the European Cup in '82 doesn't affect the now very much.
  19. Not the greatest but better than nothing!
  20. With the pound the strongest it's ever been against the Euro, now is the perfect time to be going on a shopping spree in Europe! Strike whilst the quid is hot as they say/have never once said. Remy and Martial to continue the French revolution, just hopefully far better than Newcastle's go at it. May as well go for Yohanne Gourcuff whilst we're at it, should be enough to convince Lloris to come too then. I really like Austin but with 1 year left on his deal with a little concern over his knee, and with them stuck in the Championship, anything over £12m would be seem quite expensive. Remy's goal to games ratio in the Premiership is quality and would be far more worthwhile spending that little bit extra on the fee/wages total compared to Adebayor who's the wrong side of 30, generally lazy apart from little bursts here and there and mentally not in the best of places now. So yes, Remy, Remy Remy!
  21. Because he encouraged the Captain of Villa to leave? If you can't see what's wrong with that then you're mad mate. Yes he didn't force him, but it still falls under "unprofessional" for my money. I wouldn't be pleased if it happened anyway. Hopefully it's something of nothing and his performances will win the fans round because he really is a good player He was asked his opinion of the club and Richards gave an honest answer, the guy loves City, he's hardly going to slag it off and did he not suggest that Delph should only really think about leaving if he was going to be getting plenty of games, which given the tone of the article I read, suggested that he was doubting how much game time he'd get at City. I highly doubt what Richards said was a deciding factor on Delph leaving. Richards is City through and through, he's only going to say good things about the club, he also hinted that it wouldn't be wise to leave if he's going to be on the bench. I can understand why people are really angry today but to start diverting it towards MR isn't going to do anyone any good and I stand by my view that realistically, Richards had little bearing on Delph leaving. It's just the usual spiel they toss out the the media.
  22. What exactly is wrong in what Richards has said? He loves City and had an awesome time there. Deal with it.
