    I was banking on Dortmund getting knocked out. I knew leverkusen were going through and it’s a toss up for Bayern. now were relying on 2 teams that drew against two massive teams and a team that is playing away with a 3 goal deficit. god I hope arsenal win

    Yep we will get rid of the players you mentioned anyway. we are going to need to cut all the players more or less where there is already two people for a position to meet the 70% wage rules uefa have coming in over the next couple of years. if we get to the point of needing a 5th centre back it will have to be a kid or pulling a player from another position to play there

    He’s on my list as there is no way we could sell mings and I feel a club like us can only have one older centre back in its group of 4. i think we should be able to get his book value back which is 15m euros

    So the likelihood is that Leverkusen is through, Dortmund is out and god knows about Bayern. Not terrible but Liverpool is 3 goals down, Arsenal and Man City drew..... all three could easily go through but it is all up in the air. Not the mid week we wanted and next week is totally crucial, we will very likely know what is happening with a 5th CL place.

    Tbh if the 85% is true I think it’s worst than the current uefa system for us. also the PL rules mean nothing if you want to or expect to be in uefa competitions as you have to adhere to their 70% rule
